Description

Lazy Views Beach House is located in the seaside village of Binalong Bay on the north east coast of Tasmania just 10 minutes from St Helens and a bit over 2 hours from Launceston.
This spacious family has quality furnishings and can comfortably accommodate 8 people with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

It's a short 5 minute walk to Binalong Bay Beach and Boat Ramp. Views from upstairs of Round Hill, Binalong Bay Beach and Skeleton Bay.

Things to Do

Dining Out
Lazy Views is situated within walking to Binalong Bay's very popular restaurant , Angasi – named after the Australian Native Flat Oyster - harvested from nearby Georges Bay. Naturally, oysters are a menu speciality. St Helens is a fishing port, so there is always plenty of local seafood to try such as calamari, black mussels and finfish.

Fishing
You can try hand fishing or deep-sea fishing along with a scenic charter with Bay of Fires Echo Tours and Charters, and four-wheel drive and guided bush walks.

The Beach
You can walk along the white sands of Binalong Bay Beach or just relax in the sun and gaze upon the crystal clear waters of Binalong Bay. There are large rock pools to explore and a nature walk through Grants lagoon which can be acessed from the beach

Day Tripping
The area is the ideal base for half-day trips to the hinterland -St Columba and Ralph falls, the Pub in the Paddock, Pyengana Cheese Factory - or to head north to explore the unspoiled coastline of the Bay of Fires to the Mt William National Park and Eddystone Lighthouse.

To the south you can follow the coastline to Bicheno with its nightly tours to watch the fairy penguin parade or visit East Coast Natureworld. This coastline has the mildest weather in the State and is idea for rock and beach fishing, crayfishing, diving, surfing, boardsailing or exploring Grants Lagoon.

There are easy walks through the Humbug Point Reserve which backs on to Binalong Bay, and then head into the Blue Tiers to explore the forests.

Guest Reviews

  • "excellent, the house was exceptionally clean, very good furniture, all requirements a family would need even on wet days. TV/dvd even in one childrens bedroom. The only thing we would recommend was a larger fridge/freezer a wee bit small for the number of people who can stay. Position although not on beach only a short distance, though we used the car most days as uphill on way back, not essential. Great upstairs deck with a good view to sit out on and relax. We would certainly stay there again. And the weather was perfect. It isalso close to other facilities and areas of interest. "

  • "The house was clean and light and there was enough room for two families with children. The kids enjoyed the downstairs area with the built in TV, while the adults enjoyed the peace and quiet upstairs. It was a quick walk to the beach, which was great, white sand, clear blue water and enough surf to boogie board."

  • "A functional and comfortable house filled with light. Children can watch a movie downstairs in their room away from the adults. The deck is good for BBQs and views. Quiet location. The area is completely stunning and there is a good cafe/restaurant overlooking the bay."
