AVAILABLE FROM 1 July 2009. 'Sol y Sombra' is a place in the sun, located in easy proximity to Tamworth City and all it's conveniences. You may be passing through along the New England Highway en route from Sydney or Brisbane environs, travelling with your horses, your family pet/s, or in a small group and needing a stopover.

You may be planning a holiday with multiple families to share the experience (and the expense), to feel the space around you, to ride your own horses, amble through the countryside, or just relax and turn off the pressures of the working year.

Perhaps you take your work wherever you go, so we provide complementary wireless broadband internet access.

Few could imagine that they can enjoy the modern luxury of city appointments in a country home, the freedom of being surrounded by 100acres of space, and yet the privileges that the city provides are minutes away.

The main bedroom has a king-sized bed, en suite, and a walk-in robe large enough to fit a baby's cot or extra bed close by. It also has it's own large-screen LCD TV with cable and DVD, fully stocked library, wireless broadband (throughout the house) internet and colour laser printer (driver software supplied for your laptop), and filing cabinet, allow you to bring your business with you and to operate your mobile office as efficiently as ever.

Each of the other four (4) other double bedrooms have wall-mounted LCD TVs with DVD, desk, wireless internet and access to the colour laser printer, double bed, and cabin bunk single bed overhead for additional family member or shared rooming.

The living area has a large wall-mounted Plasma TV with cable and DVD, a sprawling modular lounge which will sleep 2-3 more persons, and a additional bedding if required.

In addition we have provided a premium quality fully-appointed new 8' pool table for your entertainment.

The huge gourmet kitchen has quality stainless steel appliances and all the facilities to enable the supply of meals to a large family, several families or a group holidaying together.

Luxury laundering facilities are available; a heavy-duty Maytag automatic washing machine permitting large washes, a wall-mounted dryer, ironing facilites, and linen storage.

Outside there is a gas barbeque, undercover outdoor entertainment area, and native gardens to amble in, and the accessible surrounding 100 acres, ensure a relaxing stay for everyone.

Sol y Sombra is readily accessible to the city area, and ideally appointed to cater for visitors to the city.

Tamworth, because of it's ideal country location and it's mid-way position between the two largest tourist destinations in Australia (Sydney/Newcastle and Brisbane/Gold Coast) boasts some unique and well-attended year-round attractions.

We openly invite you to use our facilities to meet your needs whilst attending city events such as the Country Music Festival in January each year, Hats Off To Country celebrations in July each year, major sporting events, equestrian events with the new international Equine Centre, business conferences.

We provide water and paddocks, feed storage, kennels and chains for outside pets. We also supply eggs free of charge, and maintain a pens of chickens, turkeys', ducks, quails, budgies, cockatiels, galah etc, which are a hit with children.

*Please note that we are currently completing a new luxury home, "Loomberah UHD Lodge" on small acreage at 15 Barrington Drive, Tamworth, which has the same number of bedrooms, more modern appointments, and is even closer to the Tamworth CBD. Loomberah UHD Lodge is constructed to be level throughout and wheelchair accessible, and also suit families who have frail, aged or disabled family members or groups of holidaymakers or short-stays.

When this is completed your booking may be transferred to this new house. Please view a plan and elevation among our photographs. Please advise if you are unwilling to have your booking transferred to Loomberah UHD Lodge.
