Description

Calypso Corner is a 4 bed 3 bathroom holiday home plus the option of a separate 2 bedroom apartment. It has a fabulous resort style pool with spa features and great entertainment area. There is a large kitchen and open plan lounge and dining area which opens onto the wooden veranda with bar and bbq surrounding the free forming large salt water pool.

The location

Clifton Beach is a beautiful quiet location perfect for a relaxing holiday in Cairns. Located 20 minutes north of Cairns airport and 30 minutes south of Port Douglas. Calypso Corner holiday home is just the place to unwind and only a few minute’s walk to Clifton Beach. The holiday home is completely private offering everything you need for an enjoyable tropical getaway on Cairns’s northern beaches.

Palm Cove, is a stroll along the beach, where you can enjoy dining in award winning restaurants, resort shopping, water sports, reef cruises or a cool drink at any of the alfresco bars.

The accommodation

The outside pool and garden entertaining area is what makes this property so special. The garden is landscaped with beautiful exotic tropical plants, surrounded by Melaleuca and Palm trees and framed by Rainforest Mountains.

The main house comprises of four bedrooms sleeping up to 10 people. There is also a 2 bedroom apartment which sleeps up to 4 people and can be let separately. The main living area is light and spacious with cathedral ceilings. All rooms have doors opening to the wide wooden veranda surrounding the resort style pool. This truly is a tropical haven you won't forget.

  • "I ran away for my 40th Birthday with a few of my nearest and dearests to "Calypso Corner" and we has a great time. Much to our dismay the weather turned to rain the day we arrived and continued for a couple of days. But this was no problem as "Calypso Corner" was fantastic rain, hail or shine. The house is so well setup with plenty of options in any weather. The kids still swam in the beautiful pool - day and night, in the rain, under the stars and in the sunshine. All family members had their own quarters and could "escape" the main house if needed to rest, read or play! Please consider staying at "Calypso Corner" I am sure you will not be disappointed as our 4 year old, 40 year old(me) and our 74 year old had a brilliant holiday and my daughter wanted to stay permanently (wondering aloud "Do you think the next people would notice if I stayed here - in my room!") We will hope to return again as soon as possible. Jx."
