  • "Thank you so much, this gorgeous place was the BEST! My partner and our 3 girls had a holiday we will always cherish. The fishing was great so was the bush walks, kayaking and tinny rides. We found isolated little beaches thru the river and up behind the home were the most stunning views of the large river system. We enjoyed the time without computers, television and really relaxed and reconnected as family. There were also so many extra's from the owner, he really should be commended..Thanks again."

  • "We spent a week at HRH - it was lovely - reminded us of our childhood homes - would have lived to fire up the old fuel stove in the Kitchen. Excellent place for a family . Our 3 grandsons (aged 7 - 16) visited on the weekend and had a great time fishing ( we all caught a feed of fish from the jetty ), kayaking and swimming . Highly recommend Hawkesbury River Taxi Boat Package . We had a tinnie for the week - Justin's support service was A1."

  • "Lovely original place to stay. Beautiful views - excellent from the hammock on the deck. Can be a bit noisy with all the boats passing by. Everything you need, kitchen very special. Didn't catch any fish however !"

  • "Lovely weekend - beaut comfy queen bed, and comfy house in general, with everything you need. Great outlook - peaceful and private, and only a short trip from boat ramp. Outdoor area shady, with lovely big BBQ. We enjoyed the music available in house, and hope to visit again! "

  • "Great place to get away from it all. Cosy, clean, comfortable and good value for money. Ideal for relaxing, reading and chilling. It's worth hiring a tinnie to go upriver to special spots. A good idea to buy your food supplies before you get to the local Brooklyn or Spencer general store as they don't have a great variety."

  • "The cottage was very cute. It is well equipped and offers good amenity, close to Kangaroo Point boat ramp but miles from care. The Hideaway is well maintained and takes advantage of the natural beauty of the Hawkesbury River. Front verandah and outdoor kitchen/barbecue a real bonus, nice surround sound system, so take your ipod! All the comforts of home and situated very close to the water's edge - no real stairs to climb up and down. Canoes great fun. Good fishing off the pontoon with a scenic outlook. Delightfully peaceful and laidback with silence at night. Would stay again."

  • "We had 4 nights of complete rest and luxury.....just loved the place....was great to just step off the planet and sit on the balcony with surround sound system, a wine or two and total peace. Gary you have done yourself proud with this place. The outdoor kitchen was fantastic and we couldn't fault a thing. 100 out of 10. Thanks Andy, Pam and Misty the Kelpie."

  • "We stayed ath the Hawkesbury River Hideaway in February and absolutely loved it. It is a fantastic house, very comfortable and relaxing. Loved the outdoor kitchen. Our little dog Buffy loved it as they have made a little beach at the doorstep. We wanted to go back but had work comitments. Will definately be staying there again. If you want to kick back and do nothing but fish, drink and eat and relax, this is the place to be. Loved it."
