Description

This freestanding cottage set amongst pretty gardens, provides private, quality accommodation only minutes from Tanunda's shops and restaurants and a short drive to the wineries which have made the Barossa Valley so famous.

Relaxing at Kohlhagen Cottage

Kolhagen Cottage has two lovely bedrooms the main with a queen size bed. The second room has two single beds, all are fitted with pure cotton mancester. Also available is a fold out couch allowing six people to comfortably stay if necessary.

The modern kitchen is stocked with Barossa fresh provisions for a hearty or healthy breakfast. With a BBQ the choice is yours to prepare your breakfast in the gardens and enjoy the outdoors in the lovely setting of historic Billy Goat Square.

For a night indoors the lounge provides a comfortable space to view a DVD and enjoy a complimentary port.

Private Wine Tastings

Henry Holmes Wines a boutique Barossa vineyard not open to the public is available upon request to Kohlhagen Cottage guests for private tastings in their historic cellar located 3kms from Tanunda.

Henry Holmes Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are produced in limited quantities and the opprotunity to visit this historic cellar and taste their wines is a great way to spend a few hours in the Barossa Valley.

We would be happy to arrange the visit and tasting.

Guest Reviews

  • "The cottage was delightful, and we felt very welcome with lovely food in the fridge for our breakfasts and a welcoming bowl of chocolates. Privacy is important to us, and while we were looked after well, it was never intrusive. The cottage is very central, but quiet and placed on the edge of lovely Goat Square. Very worth a visit!"

  • "Thankyou for providing such a beautiful little cottage for us to stay in. We felt really at home with toys left for our little girl and all the other things provided. We also loved having brekky in the garden. Would recommend to anyone but is especially perfect for families."

  • "A charming little cottage with all the amenities, in a great village location. A lot of personal touches - especially the little toys left out for our child - made us feel welcome. "
