Frangipani House is located within the National Trust village of Pearl Beach and only 100 metres stroll to the water's edge. Shaded by stunning gumtrees and frangipanis, Frangipani House is the ideal location to relax and unwind for families and singles alike. Situated only 90 minutes north of the Sydney CBD, Frangipani House is located at the quiet end of the beach and close to the cafe, store and restaurant. No roads to cross to reach the beach.
The house is surrounded by national parks, creating a haven for wildlife. The house is tastefully furnished in a relaxed, beachside manner. The house has two sections with a breezeway between them making it easy to accommodate two families holidaying together. Each section of the house has a master bedroom with queen size bed. The two other bedrooms are each equipped with two single beds. The house easily accomodates eight people with sleeping facilities available for an additional two. There is a detailed floor plan available as one of our photos for you to review.
The house provides numerous entertaining options including a large central private courtyard ideal for al fresco dining after a game of backyard cricket. The outside entertainment area is equipped with a 4 burner gas barbecue with side burner.
The kitchen is equipped with fridge, oven, stove top, microwave and dishwasher. The laundry has a washing machine and drier. There are large amounts of crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment.
Other features of the house include an outside beach shower and polished floorboards throughout the property. There are ceiling fans in the main building and a reverse cycle air conditioner; there are also heaters.
The property is fully fenced, with a low fence (~75 cm at its lowest), and we are happy to have smallish dogs stay here as well.
Pearl Beach is a tiny National Trust village where life with all its charm and friendliness has been preserved. Surrounded by Brisbane Water National Park, the lush green canopy sweeps down to the ocean and the golden curve of one of New South Wales' prettiest beaches. There are some 600 houses, with development restrictions - Pearl Beach is a relaxing and gentle-paced haven, to which people keep coming back. With the last bend in the road into Pearl Beach we always start to relax, and we are sure you will too.
The combination of beach and nature is extraordinary, particularly so close to Sydney. The beach itself is 1 minute's walk from Frangipani House. The southern end has a newly renovated ocean pool and is generally very protected, great for young children.
The immediate area has many walking tracks, a small waterfall and an Arboretum. Within the general Central Coast area there are longer walks, extensive National Parks (e.g. Bouddi) and beaches accessible only by walking within the parks (e.g the gorgeous Maitland Bay).
There is a cafe at the beach (with WiFi) that does excellent coffee and eat-in or take away food (including wonderful cakes baked by the owners. There is Pearls on The Beach, a fully licensed restaurant that sits on the edge of the sand with amazing views, and well rated in the SMH Good Food Guide. Adjoining the cafe is a general store: if you want an easier night you can buy prepared meals there - just heat them up and you will be eating the same as at the cafe.
There is a golf course 10 minutes away by car, Everglades in Woy Woy. Tennis courts are available for hire at Pearl Beach.
The best local surf beach depends on the prevailing conditions. Some of the surf beaches are Umina (5 minutes away), MacMasters, Copacabana, Avoca and Terrigal. Umina is possibly the best beach on the East Coast to learn to ride a surfboard, and there are excellent local surf schools.
If you want to eat at home there is a Coles and Woolworths, several bottle shops and a number of fresh seafood outlets 5 minutes drive away in Umina. There is also a number of cafes, take away and home delivery options in Umina and Woy Woy.
GETTING HERE:
By Car -
Take the F3 FREEWAY from Wahroonga and head north to Newcastle - for a distance of 43 kms. Follow for 2 kms to Kariong - then:
Turn right at each of the 3 Shell Service Stations that you pass. It is about 20 kms from Kariong to Pearl Beach.
1st Shell

3rd Shell
At the Umina roundabout, turn right onto Mt Ettalong Road, following the signs for Pearl Beach and Patonga.
Continue along Mt Ettalong Road which winds round and up the mountain past a large water tower. At the top of the mountain you will come to a fork in the road. Keep left and follow the road down into Pearl Beach.
