Description

We have two cottages set in an organic permaculture orchard, located 50 metres from the house, and 80 metres apart, so that you have complete privacy. We serve you a luxurious breakfast every day on your verandah, which is made from produce from the farm, including exotic tropical fruit.

Part of our property is included within the World Heritage Wet Tropics Rainforest and there is a private walking trail, so you can explore the forest at your leisure. Our farm is powered by solar power, so you have the opportunity to experience a more environmentally sustainable lifestyle, and minimise your carbon footprint.

We have lived here 19 years - we know Cape Tribulation local area well, and can help you plan your days, so that you get the most out of your stay at Cape Tribulation. You interact with us personally, as the hosts and owners - not employees. We enjoy the company of our guests and welcome the opportunity to get to know you over drinks in the evening.

If you would like to stay with us, you should book at least three months ahead, especially in the high season - July, August and September.

Location

We are located right in the heart of Cape Tribulation, approximately 2 1/2 hours drive north of Cairns. Cape Tribulation is a small village, and the area is largely undeveloped. We are within walking distance of the beach and the village, where there are four different cafes to choose from. All tours and activities pick up from the farm, and the coach will drop you off right at our doorstep.

Guest Reviews
My husband and I stayed at the Fruit Farm for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon and LOVED every part of it. We have a photo of our cabin on the wall in our house to remind us of the time we spent there!

Digby's breakfasts were the perfect start to each day, and the cabin and beautiful surroundings made it very easy to relax and recover from the wedding!

We'd definitely go back again. The only thing we regretted about our stay was that we'd only booked for 3 nights. :o(
