St. Mounts is the oldest running guesthouse in NSW, with recent refurbishments and Victorian furnishings and old world charm. Featuring a formal lounge room with roaring open fire throughout the colder months, and a more relaxed family room with TV, DVD, stereo, and tea and coffee making facilities.
The main guesthouse has 7 ensuite rooms, including the "Spa Suite" which has a king size, four poster bed and a spa in the ensuite, TV and DVD player.
There are also 3 self-contained cottages in the rambling gardens of St Mounts; see our listings for: Magnolia Cottage, Alberts Cottage, and Constables (the old Blackheath Police Station).
St. Mounts is situated just off the Great Western Highway and within a 5 minute walk of Blackheath village. Our village features a major antiques centre and many curio shops and very popular cafes.
One Sunday per month is our "Growers Market" held in the Community Hall, and featuring produce from local growers and produces from as far as Mudgee.
Well known bushwalks that are close by include the Grand Canyon, Walls Cave, Centennial Glenn, and Porter's Pass. Famous lookouts within a 5 minute drive include Govetts Leap and Evans Lookout.
St Mount's Boutique Hotel is the ideal base for exploring the Blue Mountains over 2 or 3 days. To the West: Jenolan Caves, Zigzag Railway, Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens, Mudgee, Bathurst. To the East: Echo Point and the Three Sisters (15 mins by car), Leura Garden Village, Katoomba.
Blackheath's immediate surrounds boast - The Megalong Valley (rainforests, horseriding, tearooms), immaculate and expansive parks, public swimming pool, tennis courts and sports fields.
St. Mounts also boasts "La Trattoria", a fully licensed Italian restaurant, open 7 nights a week for dinner. You can enjoy a sumptuous meal prepared by Chef Ian Anderson who is well known in the Blue Mountains region.
"La Trattoria" also boasts an award winning wine list.
St. Mounts caters for both couples and groups as well as "Host a Murder" weekends for groups or conferences of up to 16 people.
