For over 100 years it has been home to successive General Managers of the Mount Lyell Mining & Railway company. Set amidst rainforest with breathtaking views of Queenstown its alluring, bare hills, Penghana stands majestically- a rich reminder of the West Coasts mining heritage.
Today it offers the finest accommodation. There is a guest lounge, cosy log fires and a ball room with a full size billard table.
Dinner is available all year in our stately dining room where a magnificent mahogany table can seat up to 14. Dinners are by prior arrangement only.
Guest accommodation includes 4 double ensuite rooms and a family suite, 2 rooms sleeping 5 with shared bathroom.
