If you want LOCATION and PRIVACY then 'Tropicale' is where you need to come. As featured on the Lifestyle Channel 'Home' show, Tropicale is an open plan timber beach house on almost an acre of lush lawns and garden paradise, and all only a 5 minute flat walk to Avalon Beach. The house has 3 bedrooms with a king bed in the master bedroom, king bed(or single and trundle available) in the second bedroom and 2 sets of bunks in the third bedroom. It can easily accommodate a large family or two smaller families. There is a full internal bathroom with a very unique freestanding balinese bath, separate toilet, and an external hot and cold shower for after the beach. The house is a true beach-house design with polished timber floors, stone fire-place, open plan kitchen and living area leading to a massive covered deck for entertaining on those warm summer nights. The kitchen has a servery window to make summer meals outside a breeze. There are comfy cane lounges, teak outdoor furniture and BBQ facilities on the deck looking over the extremely private 1500sq/m back yard. It is furnished in a contemporary style complemented by original artworks. There are 2 televisions with cable t.v. connected to them, and broadband internet access. The house also has air-conditioning.
There is a large garden studio in the backyard that could be used as another living area or teenage retreat, and an open-air balinese bure for summer snoozing!
The house is extremely child friendly. The kids can play on the back deck or in the huge back yard and all within visibility of the kitchen and living areas. For the younger ones there is a huge trampoline and a tree-house further up the yard.
Tropicale is a level 5 minute walk or 2 blocks to Avalon village shops, where there is everything you could want in a summer holiday. Cafes, restaurants, cinema, supermarket, library, art gallery yoga/pilates studio and many homeware stores make up the quaint village area. Across the road from the village is the golden sands of Avalon beach with a fantastic surf break, rock pool and recreation park for the kids. The whole village/beach area is conveniently accessed by sealed walkways and bikepaths locally known as the 'yellow brick road'.
Avalon is 40 minutes from the centre of Sydney and the tourist sights of Sydney Harbour, and a 50 minute drive from Sydney Airport. It is located on the northern peninsular that is bordered by the Pittwater waterway, which is a great place for fishing, waterskiiing and boating. There is an efficient local bus service and within 5 minutes of Avalon there is 2 local golf courses, a 5 star gymnasium, nature walks to historic Barrenjoey light-house at famous Palm Beach and too many surf breaks to mention.
