Eleanor River Homestead is a 250 acre property located amongst the rolling hills and valleys on the banks of the Eleanor River in the heartland of Kangaroo Island. Centrally located we are just 10 minutes from Seal Bay, 15 minutes from Vivione Bay, 35 minutes from the wonders of Flinders Chase National Park, nearby to the Parndana Wildlife Park and Historic Soldier Settler Museum. The Mary Ellen is a luxuriously appointed 2 bedroom, rustic log cabin, nestled in a magnificent bushland setting, a nature lover’s paradise. Located by the Eleanor River this hideaway is Solar powered and Eco friendly Take a day off touring and sightseeing to meander through the natural paths which lead to the decking and relaxation area on the Eleanor River where you can enjoy a picnic or just take a stroll along the banks to experience the beauty of this spring fed river. Explore our unique bushland amidst the many species of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, possums, koalas, echidnas, goannas, Superb Fairy Wren, Scarlet Robin, Wedge-tailed Eagle, and the endangered Glossy Black Cockatoo or simply relax on the verandah and enjoy the magnificent sunsets and views whilst taking in the charm of the ever present native fauna.
