Description

Lavender View cottage as featured in the Age's "Good Weekend" Best short breaks independent guide "52 weekends away". (Oct 2008)

From Christmas 2012 till the New Year period we are only taking seven night minimum bookings at standard nightly rates

Quickly the hustle and bustle of life will fall away as you walk into your cottage on the farm. The WOW factor is there when you walk into the owner built mud brick and old railway sleepers miners cottage. There's a sneak preview of the bedroom with its antique bed and the spacious bath room complete with corner spa, complementary lavender aroma therapy oil burner and lavender bath salts. If you are celebrating an anniversary or a special birthday or just stressed out you cannot help yourself when you say, "Well that was worth the drive up here".
In the morning you draw the curtains and feel the quietness and appreciate the views from every window with Mount Buffalo down the valley. What adventures await and all you have decide is whether to explore or just sit and read or simply relax.
The only other decision left to make is will we dine out at one of the many restaurants in Bright or dine in using the fully self contained kitchen and barbeque.
ENJOY
(Oh by the way there are installation bats and blanket between the rustic corrugated iron ceiling and the outer color-bond roof)and there is a reverse cycle air conditioner in all the cottages.

  • "Beautiful and well appointed cottages close to Bright, Mt Buffalo and Mt Hotham. Easy access to Falls Creek as well. Ted and Joy really looked after us and our 7 year old child loved exploring the farm and meeting the farm animals. Relaxed, secluded and authentic accommodation at a great price - perfect for families and couples. A wonderful retreat - we would definately stay again."

  • "A fantastic little getaway which was ideal in winter with wood fire and a cosy cottage feel. Perfectly located with views across to Mt Buffalo, some great walking tracks, and easy access to Bright and some magnificent scenic drives around the alpine region. Owners are very friendly and provided us with great local advice. "

  • "A clean, cosy and very well equiped cottage in the most perfect setting. Mountain views, farm animals and friendly hosts. Plus the bonus of being only 3km to Bright. We would thoroughly recommend Lavender View Cottages for a romantic getaway or for a family. There is a large amount of space for children to play and they would love the animals."
