  • "The house, and view especially are lovely, and Tom the owner was very approachable about extra questions I had for my stay at chippers (it was over Xmas period, so I wanted to know a bit more to help plan Xmas Day lunch). I would recommend the property to anyone interested in the area, and Paterson itself is lovely and quiet, but I think the property information should contain a bit more info ... the house is set on a steep hill with a lot of stairs to access it from the drive, which is fine if you're young and fit, but more problematic if older or infirm. The parking area at the bottom is pretty tight if you are travelling with more than one car. But if you're aware of those things and it's not a problem, this is the place for you!"

  • "My husband and I had a wonderful weekend at Chippers. Relaxing and invigorating. The view from the house was fabulous. We had great fun listening to the retro record collection, and I very much enjoyed putting another log on fire. The garden was beautiful and the birdlife and wallabies a pleasure to watch. Hope to visit again soon."

  • "We loved our 3 days at Chippers. We enjoyed the ambiance of the home, the wonderful views over the valleys, river and township, the slow combustion fire and the wallaby visits. It's an ideal spot to day trip to Morpeth, the vineyards and other location attractions. We'll be back!"

  • "thanks to the owners, we were treated to a complimentary weekend at this gorgeous property in picturesque and historic Paterson. What a great time! I had no idea this area was so beautiful, and we spent many happy hours exploring the countryside, wineries and antiques shops. The local pub does a great meal, and as well we were able to cook up a storm in the well-serviced kitchen. The decor of the house was just to our taste - whimsical, quirky, and in keeping with the surrounds. Not just your ordinary, boring "holiday house" atmosphere. A truly relaxing escape from city tedium. Thanks so much! We'll definitely be back, with more friends in tow."
