Description

Gumtree Wai is an idyllic 5 acre property which boasts a modern four bedroom, two bathroom western red cedar homestead.

In summer guests can laze all day by the landscaped salt water pool with a bark-covered pergola, lounge chairs and air mattresses or, for the more exuberant, enjoy a game of water volleyball.

In winter enjoy everything the Hunter Valley has to offer, vineyards and wine tasting, concerts, dining at its best and so much more.

The dams are stocked with yabbies for guests to catch their own meal. To completely unwind, relax on the wide verandah and soak in the amazing landscape while sipping a glass of wine or sit around the campfire on a frosty evening and watch the wallabies come out at dusk.

The homestead features reverse cycle air conditioning, a fabulously large living area, gourmet kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances and fully equipped to create a culinary delight.

Luxuriate on the generously proportioned recliner lounges, read a book, watch a movie from our impressive selection or have fun with a variety of board games.

The property comfortably sleeps seven people. The Master suite includes a queen bed, walk-in wardrobe and ensuite. Glass doors open onto the verandah where cafe table and chairs have been placed for guests to enjoy a morning coffee, or to unwind with a nightcap at the end of the day.

The second bedroom has a queen bed, the third bedroom has a double. The fourth bedroom has a wrought iron day bed.

All bedrooms are fitted with ceiling fans and built-in wardrobes.

Well behaved pets are part of the family and are welcome to enjoy the family holiday.

On arrival guests can enjoy the welcome basket complete with a variety of teas, coffee and biscuits.

Location

Just one and a half hour drive from Sydney, Gumtree Wai is in prime grazing country in the foothills of the Watagan Ranges.

Gumtree Wai is situated five minutes drive from two country pubs which serve quality country-style meals, ten minutes to the main shopping town of Cessnock, fifteen minutes to the historic village of Wollombi and just ten minutes to Mount View vineyards and cellar doors.

The famous vineyards of Pokolbin and Lovedale with world class golf courses, vineyards and restaurants are fifteen minutes away.

Port Stephens, Nelson Bay and Newcastle Airport are less than an hour’s drive.
