ScothedgeRetreat offers its visitors peaceful and quiet surroundings on 10 acres of landscaped country gardens, where you can relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

We are located in the beautiful Manning Valley, situated 5 minutes from the centre of Taree or 10 minutes from the centre of historical Wingham, on the Mid North Coast of NSW. ScothedgeRetreat offers comfortable accommodation in a 3-bedroom apartment, where you can relax by the combustion fire in winter, which over looks the orange grove. In summer, you may wish to use the barbeque facilities or simply relax in the beautiful gardens surrounding the accommodation.

During your stay at ScothedgeRetreat, you may wish to use our games room facilities, including half size snooker table and dart board or treat yourself to a therapeutic sauna. If you are lucky, in the evening or early morning, you can see the kangaroos grazing down by the bushlands and maybe even a baby or two. When in season you are welcome to take a walk through the orange grove and pick your own oranges.

Location and Attractions

Located on the Mid-North Coast of NSW, approximately 3 hours drive from Sydney’s North.

Scothedge Retreat is located within short drives to many of the Mid-North Coasts best beaches.

Attractions include numerous public golf courses, river and beach fishing, horse riding, bush walking, surfing beaches and historical towns.

Taree shopping centre is 5 minutes from Scothedge Retreat.

"We stayed during the Australia Day long weekend. It was a wonderful retreat for us to get away from the city life style and especially true for our Happy and Lucky. Our fury friends end up playing around the 10 acres property and often play with Cosmo (the owner's dog) for most of the days and occasionally come back and checking on us. The place and clean and tidy with lots of rooms to move around. We Loved it Thanks Adele and Bill for your hospitality. Hoping that we will come back and visit again sometime soon."

"We enjoyed a 5 night stay at Scothedge and wished that we could have stayed longer. The home is squeaky clean with everything necessary for an enjoyable visit supplied. The rooms are spacious and overlook the gardens, the beds were very comfortable, the towels thick and fluffy and the kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed oranges straight off the trees and fresh eggs from the chooks. Our dog was made welcome too with a trampoline bed and stainless steel bowls provided for his use, as well as a secure area on the back deck where we could leave him when we went out. The gardens are extensive and lovely and like the house, beautifully maintained and a credit to the owners, Bill and Adele. We are looking forward to a return visit to this lovely peaceful place. "

"We had a lovely long weekend stay at Scothedge Retreat. Adele and Bill are so welcoming and provided all the comforts of home. The property although connected to the main house is very cleverly planned out and feels completely private. The garden was breathtaking, filled with a vast array of every flower imaginable - truly an unforgettable sight to behold and the perfect setting for a relaxing stay. The inside was just as beautiful as the outside. The rooms were spacious, well maintained, with the old style comfort of a fireplace. In addition, Bill and Adele, the owners, went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for our stay.
