Our recent stay at the lovely house in North Fitzroy was so wonderful, comfortable, private, perfectly equiped, in short everything you could need. I decorated my daughters wedding cake and celebrated my 60th birthday so it really got lived in. Rachel was so warm and helpful. We would definitely recommend this house for a home away from home experience.

what a fantastic find this place was! We stayed for 3 nights ... such a great location - handy to Brunswick Street and the city. The house was Cosy and warm with a well appointed kitchen and luxurious bathroom, sumptuous beds... a great place for four adults to base themselves for a long weekend of indulging in everything Melbourne has to offer. will definitely stay again.

We loved our time in Rachel's house. Clean comfortable, quiet and very warm - even in the middle of winter. So much nicer and far more relaxing than a hotel room.
Brunswick Street with it's gorgeous restaurants bars and funky shops is just a short stroll away. We at locally two out of three nights and loved it.
We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Our first option was to go for a hotel......how wrong could we have been. This house in fitzroy is just perfect for young professionals either looking for a nice getaway or a place to stay during business. Perfect location, easy access to brilliant bars, cafes and restaurants and not to mention an emaculate house with a heated loo seat, yes your read right! Rachel, the owner is brilliant, really helpful and accomodating. Not a bad word to say. When i come back to Melbourne, i know eactly where i'll be staying, that's if it hasn't already been booked

My husband and I loved our stay in this delightful and cozy home away from home.
Heavenly bedding with beautifully laundered crisp linen and down duvets for those chilly Melbourne nights.A fabulous location, just a short stroll to great eateries, just name your cuisine, it's all there in Brunswick Street! If you want to eat in, the beautifully appointed kitchen is equiped with plenty of crockery , glassware and cookware. We will definitely return to this gorgeous little cottage, far more comfortable and private than alternative accomodation - Thanks Rachel for your warm welcome and hospitality.

Great place to stay, a beautiful house in a fantastic location. You can walk to great cafes, the park, shops and only minutes to the city. Much nicer than a hotel and you can really feel like you are a local. We loved our stay and look forward to coming back soon.

What a rare find! My husband and I were looking for accommodation for a special month's holiday in inner city Melbourne and wanted a place that felt like a home, rather than the usual over-serviced and impersonal apartments on offer. Our month at 'At Home in Melbourne' was an absolute treat. This lovely renovated cottage is beautifully appointed with all that we needed for our extended stay; the kitchen is fully equipped with top-of-the range appliances and crockery; the dining room opens out onto a private and sunny courtyard; the contemporary and stylish laundry/bathroom are a touch of luxury(an elderly person might have difficulty climbing into the spa bath to access the shower); the light and comfortable living room has large screen TV, video and a selection of books.
The house is fully serviced once a week (including fresh linen on the very comfortable bed, kitchen and bathroom cleaned and restocked with household essentials;) Rachel - you went out of your way to make our longer-term stay really work well for us. Thank you.
Free parking is available for one car immediately outside the house (a bit of a squeeze sometimes to navigate the narrow but quiet inner-city cul-de-sac).
As an ex-Melbournian I was keen to become re-acquainted with the area and was delighted with the location: tram stop just around the corner; 5 minutes walk to the renowned Brunswick St cafe precinct; 5 minutes walk in the other direction to a large parkland for those evening strolls); 20-30 minute walk to Lygon Street Carlton. Easy access to the freeways out of the city.
Our holiday was a month to remember - we truly felt like we had come home to Melbourne.

Extremely cute, comfy & luxurious, much better than home. We didn't want to leave. Everything has been thought of. Very quiet and peaceful street with easy access to the best of the area.
