Description

Up until 2 years ago, Soulitude Farm was a fully functioning small boutique dairy. Set on 9 acres, this 4 bedroom, hardwood timber cottage perched on the hill, has been recently renovated and has 360 degree views of the stunning local valley. Surrounded by fully established large shady frangipani, orange and fruit trees, it has been likened to a lush Tuscany where you can sit for hours outside and feel the cool north east breeze in Summer and feel the warmth of the sun on the front covered deck in Winter. Situated at the end of a no through road, the property is completely private and extremely quiet. Soulitude is 4 km from the small quaint village of Hannam Vale, where you can get a capuccino, stock up supplies or enjoy a meal.
This beautiful retreat is the perfect weekend or weekly country escape. Only 300km from Wahroonga, on Sydney's North Shore, it's an easy 3.25 hour drive north on the highway. Scroll through the above photos or read the guest entries below from previous guests, to see all that Soulitude has to offer. Go to our web site for all the information you need...

Wake up to the cows!

Pat the cows, watch the ducks and the wallabies feed at dusk, or meet Mr Peabody the local peacock. You will love the privacy of this hidden retreat. The only noise you will hear once you venture off the dirt track is the conversation of the cows in the distance and natural surrounding wildlife. Overlooking a large dam with it's own floating jetty, this property is fully fenced making it the perfect escape for families or people with outdoor pets. It really is the place to create wonderful holiday memories.
You won't want to leave this piece of paradise and the peace and tranquility you will discover here. It really is rest for the soul!

Guest Reviews

  • "Quiet, relaxing, peaceful, just what was needed."
    Mark, June 2008

  • "Soulitude is idyllic. We loved staying in the newly renovated original farmhouse. The 360 degree views of green hills are beautiful and visually restful. Given that the only sound you hear is of the odd cow mooing, the distant creek running or a bird chirping you are guaranteed a relaxing holiday that is if you wish. There are endless things to do around the area. Diamond Head Beach is stunning, nearby Comboyne and Upper Landsdowne scenery simply breathtaking. Our 2 young toddlers were very safe in the surrounding garden and loved the farm experience. We can't wait for our return visit."

  • "We were so delighted when we walked into the house at Soulitude; it is so neat and spacious with mod cons as well as 'quaintness'. We loved the verandah and the views it gave us of the wonderful green rolling hills all around. It was so peaceful, a home away from home. For the first time since childhood four siblings stayed together in this house for six days (to help prepare for another sibling's wedding) - our memories of our time together at Soulitude will always be very precious to us."

  • "Well presented cottage Fully equipt in a lovely rural outlook Used for executive meeting which was most appreciated by the participants on the verandah out the front. Staff enjoyed the eaaly morning tranquil walks along the country road. Good facilities, modern kitchen and bathroom"

  • "We had the most wonderful weekend and Old Hannam Vale is beautifully decked out and the solitute - Soulitude was second to none! I would highly recommend to anyone. "

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the farm. Lots of open space, beautiful countryside, animals and peace. Check out the night sky its amazing. We will certainly be returning for another relaxing getaway. A reminder for dog owners to ensure that their dog has been treated for ticks."

  • "We had a wonderful time at the farm and would return without hesitation. The drive to the house is spectaculor and it immediately commands relaxation! The quiet and remote location of the home was perfect for us as a family for a time of escape, it is also close to the General Store or Laurieton for provisions. It was very easy to just "be blessed" by your surroundings, loved the outdoor shower and the warm sun streaming into the living room. A delightful experience for our family."

  • "There is nothing like a visit to the country to remind you to relax and breath and appreciate the creation around you. Soulitude allows you to do that in absolute comfort,it was just like having your own farmhouse with cows in the paddock and fruit trees laden with oranges but you are not responsible for any of it! Plenty of room for two families, games and books if you tire of reading the papers in the sun on the verandah or just watching the view. Amazingly equipped kitchen and a very quaint general store down the road where they dissapear into the cool room to produce the lettuce you forgot and have "kittens for sale" signs in the window which meant we returned home with an extra member in the family!! But more than anything the peace that surrounds this property reminds you that God is real, and you only need to stop to experience it."

  • "What a great location. Its a comfortable house with plenty of beds for a family or 2. The road is a dead-end so no passing traffic to spoil the rural setting. A top place to re-connect with family or friends away from the busy-ness of life."
