  • "I found these cottages on 'holidaying with dogs' and I am so glad I did. We arrived on a cold winter's day to find the fireplace ready to be lit and the cottage fitted out homely for our 2 night stay. The internet site for Glenaire does not exaggerate at all, the views are magnificent and if you do bring your four legged best friend they are well catered for with enclosed yard. We didn't have the opportunity of meeting the owners but the feeling over the phone was one of friendly, warmth and hospitality. I left there feeling more relaxed than I have in months and can highly recommend this property to anyone who wants magnificent views, a feeling of peace and serenity and to leave feeling completely relaxed. I would certainly go back at the next opportunity."

  • "What can I say besides what a great place to stay. The cottage was perfect and the views from the Lake cottage were even better. We selected this accommodation because it was pet friendly but even if you don?t have pets it?s still a great place to stay. We took along our 5 month pup and he had a ball. The fenced area outside was just great. We could leave him in out there or leave the cottage door open and let him wonder in and out and he loved it. All the cottages are about 50 metres or more apart, so privacy is no problem. The only down side is finding a place to eat. There is a place near by called The Bend in Glenaire but trying to get hold of them or even them being open just didn?t happen. The nearest place is Lavers Hill or Apollo Bay. All in all we had a great time. The little walking tracks around the place were just right for a gentle stroll. And you couldn?t get nicer owners. They came and made sure we settled and I found them to be very friendly. Would or should I say will we go back. Yep for sure. James "

  • "Jac and I arrived on a cold rainy June afternoon where we were greeted like prodigal sons by Neil & Bo. We did not feel like strangers but were made welcome like family members and our accommodation was ready and waiting with the heating turned on and a log fire set and ready to be lit. Nothing was too much for our charming hosts wether it was local information or more wood for the fire, but they were completely unobtrusive to allow us the romantic holiday we desired. We were surrounded by beautiful native parrots who greeted us every morning and which we fed with seed provided by our hosts and we saw other magnificent birds & fauna over our weeks stay. We felt we were up in the tree tops as we looked down on the forest of gums & ferns from our cabin, and we watched the large container ships in the distance as they made their way to and from Melbourne on the great Southern Ocean. After 7 days we were both rested and relaxed and we felt we were saying goodbye to new friends when we handed back our keys to Bo and Neil. Jac and I look forward to going back and spending time at wonderful Glenaire. We can't recommend it enough."

  • "It seems not many people have heard about this place yet. Boy weren't we lucky! It was fabulous. Neil and Bo are great hosts and their cottages are fantastic. Every detail, spotless and the views out of this world. They like to keep it as a private retreat and that's just what it is. And Neil's forest walks are just beautiful with all the greenery and the birds and Kevin Koala. We will be back for sure!!"
