Built in the 1940s by a Maltese family from the town of Floriana, on the east coast of Malta, these villas are reminiscent of their Mediterranean background, with all the modern conveniences since their 2006 complete refurbishment. Four spacious boutique villas are made up of three 2-bedroom and one single bedroom, located on the Cairns Esplanade with expansive views of the gardens, Coral Sea and mountains.

Each villa comprises a fabulous, fully self contained kitchen with granite benchtops & Bosch stainless steel appliances, spacious, beautifully furnished lounge and dining areas with wide screen televisions, outdoor terrace or balcony with water views and outdoor dining, laundry and a garage. All master bedrooms are fitted with the convenience of an ensuite (spa bath), walk in robe and flat screen television. Two villas have the flexibility of king or twin single beds in the second bedroom. The villas share a private shaded pool and outdoor barbecue area.

The Floriana Villas building is listed with the local council as a ‘building of special heritage interest’ and is located on the Cairns Esplanade, a short 10 minute walk along the boardwalk to the city centre, restaurants, shops and the lagoon pool. Cairns is the gateway to a wide range of activities including snorkelling or diving the Great Barrier Reef, touring the Daintree Rainforest, water sports, golf, horse riding to name a few. Up to seven bedrooms can be rented for extended families or friends. All villas are air conditioned and have ceiling fans throughout, as well as louvred windows to catch cooling sea breezes.
