This 3 bedroom holiday house (1 King Size Bed and 2 Doubles) is ideal for those wanting a relaxing and tranquil seaside escape, all within an easy 30 minute train ride to Brisbane CBD. Simply walk across the road to beautiful Moora Park overlooking beautiful Moreton Bay! (Property was not affected by the Brisbane flood!)
Activities available
The house is a short stroll to Shorncliffe yaht club for all those boating enthusiasts. The Shorncliffe gof club is even closer. The local icon Cafe on the Park is less than 40 metres away if you are feeling peckish.
A sunset or sunrise walk along the beautiful forshore at Moora Park from Shorncliffe to Sandgate is an absolute must do. If you like fishing, why not walk across the road to the foreshore and try your luck at catching something for dinner off the historic Shorncliffe Pier?
If you are feeling particularly adventurous, why not hire a kayak at the bottom of the street, and go for a paddle up Cabbage Tree Creek and admire the abdundant birdlife found in the mangroves?
The Seaview Hotel and the Full Moon Hotel are nearby should you wish to wet your whistle. And if you do want to explore Brisbane CBD, the Valley or South Bank, the train station is within convenient walking distance.
Moora Park is also the official starting area for the Brisbane to Gladstone yaht race held annually on Good Friday at Easter. The night before each Good Friday there is also free entertainment, night markets and fire works.
