Description

Braeside Cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway. It has all
the ingredients for a perfect holiday: a luxury bedroom, a
spacious bathroom with a two-person spa and a view over
the old stock yards down to the creek. While away the hours
relaxing on the cottage’s two verandahs, or if that doesn’t take
your fancy, snuggle in front of the fireplace with a bottle of
one of the region’s splendid red wines.

Braeside Cottage

Braeside Cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway. Originally
part of the main homestead, the cottage was relocated during
the 1940s to provide accommodation for the station manager.
The cottage features a large bedroom and includes a reversecycle
air-conditioner and writing desk. We can guarantee
a restful night’s sleep as the bedroom is furnished with our
unique Braeside bed.
Relax in the two-person spa bath and enjoy the view out over
the sheep yards and creek. The large luxury bathroom also has
a heated floor. We provide you with a collection of bath salts
to soothe your tired muscles. And within the bathroom there
is a feature wall of French doors with stained glass windows.
When the homestead is lit up at night, it creates a gorgeous
ambiance for you and your guest.
Recline in the lounge room on the luxurious leather lounge
chairs in front of the large fireplace and plasma television.
The AV system is equipped with a DVD player and local
television. The kitchen looks out across the grassy Braeside
reserve. It is self-contained with a dishwasher, electric stove
top, convection microwave and fridge at your disposal. There
is also a front-load washing machine and dryer.
You can watch the sun go down on the front verandah on
two classic Australian squatter’s chairs. One of the interesting
features is the foldaway leg extension. Fold them back and sit
in comfort or fold them out and put your feet up for a relaxing
afternoon.
For those people feeling a little more adventurous there is an
outdoor shower where you can shower under the stars.
As a guest of the cottage you also have use of the stock yard.
This is a great spot at the back of the cottage where you can
light a camp fire (fire restrictions permitting).
