Thornton Beach is Daintree's best kept secret, just 10 minutes south of the visitor hub of Cape Tribulation and 20 minutes north of the Daintree River. Thornton Beach House & Bungalows are nestled between the Coral Sea and the Daintree World Heritage National Park. It is the only holiday accommodation at Thornton Beach and is just a 20 metre stroll to the beach. The beach house is fully screened, open plan, and with tiles throughout, gives a cool and spacious feel. It is well situated, being centrally located to both Cape Tribulation and Cow Bay, with their restaurants, bars, boardwalks and fresh water creeks for swimming.

The 2 ensuite bungalows have tea & coffee facilities, esky, cutlery & crockery (no cooking facilities), and private verandahs with views of the ocean. A perfect getaway for couples and only $85.00 per night.

There are several tours in the area, including night and day guided rainforest walks, 1/2 day and 2 day sea kayaking tours, horseriding, jungle surfing through the rainforest canopy, exotic fruit tasting, Great Barrier Reef tours, fishing tours, crocodile spotting tours and the list goes on.
