Guest Reviews

  • "We loved our stay at La Perouse. We had a wonderful welcome from Sue and Laurel, and our room was perfect! A lovely cosy comfy bed, complete with electric blankets(it was cold and raining when we arrived) and luxurious L'Occitane toiletries for the bathroom. The place is spotless and simply, but very tastefully decorated. Breakfast the next day was delicious and we really felt like we were sitting in the home of friends. La Perouse is a must if you want to visit Lorne! We will be back, and meanwhile we will recommend it very highly!"

  • "'We had a lovely stay at La Perouse. Our room was very comfortable and full of character with a beautiful view from the balcony across the tree tops and beyond to the ocean. The breakfast had a decidedly French feel to it and was very tasty. We understand the owners pride themselves on the quality of their coffee - which we can confirm was delicious. We highly recommend a stop here!' Thanks again for a great stay and nous vous souhaitons bonne continuation!"

  • "Both my husband and I loved our stay at La Perouse. We celebrated our 1st year wedding anniversary and wanted to stay somewhere special and it was. We stayed in the free standing cottage, very romantic. The room was so cosy and had great ocean views which could be seen from the bed. Breakfast was yummy, loved the chocolate croissants and the fruit plate served with the breakfast. I didn't want to leave and could have easily stayed there for another few days. Laurel and Sue were very friendly and we wish them well with their B & B"

  • "Our stay at La Perouse was one of the highlights of our 2 week visit to Australia! We loved the room (#2) with its comfortable bed, the view from the balcony of the sea down below, and the delicious breakfast. I don't think I've eaten fruit quite that good in a long time. In the morning we went for a run up the road and saw two kangaroos! As our hostess said at breakfast, "there is something magical about this place." We agree. "

  • "What a perfect place to stay on the most romantic day in the world (Feb 14th) when attending the most romantic wedding in the world at evening. "

  • "We loved our night at La Perouse - our room was gorgeous, opening on to a little terrace where we sat listening to the birds singing and the roar of the sea. La Perouse is decorated with incredible attention to detail and lovely little touches. Lauren was a warm and attentive host, serving a delicious breakfast and great coffee in the morning. We are torn between wanting to tell everyone about La Perouse, and wanting to keep it for ourselves - we definitely plan to come back soon!"

  • "Beautiful room in a beautiful property in a beautiful place. A fantastic stay was the highlight of the trip. Watching the mellowing sea in the twilight from the balcony washed our cares away. The croissants, pan-au-chocolat and coffee in the morning sent us off full of beans and happy in the knowledge of money well spent!!"
