I have no hesitation in recommending this property. It is a real ‘home from home’, and was exceptionally comfortable, clean and well equipped. It is exactly as described on the \"xxxxx\" website. The views from dining terrace are terrific by day and night.

The booking and payment arrangements were very efficient. The owners were really helpful throughout this process and when we were actually in Brisbane.

The property is a good base for getting around Brisbane and beyond. South Bank can be reached by car in a few minutes, with Annerley Road more or less leading directly to the area. From South Bank, it is just a few minutes more to the City centre.

The property also offers other transport options. It is a short (10 to 15 minute) walk from two railway stations, giving direct access to Park Road, South Bank, Central and Fortitude Valley stations. The University of Queensland, with its City Cat pier and services to the City centre, is also reachable on foot. This takes about 25 minutes but includes an interesting walk across a new pedestrian bridge across the river. I mention these options as public transport in Brisbane is safe, efficient and good value, whereas parking in South Bank and the centre can sometimes be both a hassle and expensive.

Annerley has several fast food outlets and a few budget restaurants (pasta, Thai, Indian), which can be reached in minutes from the property. However, with dozens more eating options in nearby South Bank and Park Road, eating out local to the property is probably something to be done only if speed and convenience are the prime considerations. In this regard, there is pub in Annerley Road (‘The Muddy Farmer’) which, while again not really up to the standard of what can be found in the centre, is perfectly adequate for a cold beer and reasonable quality pub grub.

There is a good quality Coles supermarket and a small shopping centre a few minutes by car from the property at Fairfield. There are also a few shops on Ipswich Road within walking distance, including a Woolworths food store (but this has a smaller range than Coles).

We stayed in this lovely townhouse for a week. We really enjoyed the privacy while having easy access to the CBD, Southbank and the motorway to the Gold Coast. The terrace is a birdwatcher\'s paradise. The home is very well kept and comfortable with everything you could need - we could have stayed a month!

Annerley Mews was just so spot on. I would definitely stay @
Annerley Mews again and recommend it - your inside
area was so much better in real life.
The key system was a ripper.
Most people were surprised that we had
chosen Annerley as our base - we found it so central - ...
The other highlight for us was the room configuration as my parents were upstairs and we were downstairs with the boys - it all worked so well.

Guest Reviews

  • "Tired from travelling during the night from Western Australia, we headed to Annerley Mews to drop off our luggage early and were relieved to hear the property was ready for us. Not sure what to expect, we were very pleased. What is advertised on the website is exactly what you get. A lovely presented home with all the conveniences you could want including linen(a must for us) and lovely large fluffy towels. Close to the city and motorways but quiet. We loved breakfast on the deck with all the birdlife and views to enjoy and the lights at night made you realize how high up the property was. With four children aged 11 to 17, we had plenty of room and storage space to keep organised for the week we stayed. We spent a lot of time sightseeing but when we were at the property, the girls enjoyed the Foxtel. We have stayed at other properties before that don't reflect the websites information. Annerley Mews was lovely and we would definitely recommend it for any length of time. There is plenty to do in Brisbane and although we hired a car, the public transport is very close, a supermarket is within walking distance and the local hotel with well priced meals is a 5 minute walk down the road. Don't miss Mt Cootha, Southbank and a ride up the river on the citycat in the evening. We also enjoyed Dreamworld, Australia Zoo and Tamborine Mountain. Most delicious restaurants we found were 'Decks' Southbank and 'Enjoy Inn' Fortitude Valley (Chinatown)Great base for everything."

  • "We enjoyed very We enjoyed very much staying at the house. It is quite centrally located ( for Brisbane standards ) has a magnificent view of the river valley and St.Lucia. The house is very clean and supplied with everything one needs for an extended say. Although located close to the main road the house is very quite and private. The owners are very nice , caring and helpful- made our stay a stretch of care-free joy. In conclusion a wonderful place that we recommend in the strongest possible fashion "

  • "Our 5 days at Annerley Mews were great. The attention to detail, eg. beautiful flowers, food items, dvd's, board games etc. really made us feel very welcome and made the difference between feeling we were in a motel to living in a home. The location too, was very convenient with the bus and train so close and shops an easy walk for us. If coming back to Brisbane we would definitely make this our first choice to stay again. Thankyou."

  • "Absolutly fabulous accommodation. We came for 5 days and rescheduled plans to squeeze in another day. Our pets (3 labs) loved access to the house and garden). Great aspect, views, facilities, and accommodation. We look forward to planning another stay in the near future."

  • "We had a great ten day stay. Just bring in your suitcases -everything else you need is provided. The townhouse was really comfortable and in top condition. Nice views, with a good size backyard. Bus stop is practically out the front for a quick trip to the city. Suprisingly quiet as well."
