  • "A wonderful property which goes beyond the great view. No chintz or frills in a property that is perfect for a quiet weekend for a couple or an extended stay for a family or group. Having many of the basics in the pantry made our stay relaxed. The owners have thought of how to make their property a great stay, even the off street parking."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tara, it was perfect for two couples and our 1 year old daughter. The location is brilliant a 20 minute drive to Katoomba and the three sisters and lovely view from the balcony. The amenities were more than sufficient even providing bird seed for the visiting parakeets and cockatoos. The high chair and swing were a real bonus for our daughter! Would thoroughly recommend and it would be hard to look elsewhere should we return to the Blue Mountains. "

  • "We all loved Tara, what a wonderful place. So peaceful and a beautiful cottage. We all had a fantastic time and both Nigel and Elaine have done a brilliant job making Tara such a lovely, cosy 'home from home'. Many thanks."

  • "Thank you for a lovely stay at Tara. We had 4 nights stay and as a family with 4 children it was ideal. The house was welcoming and clean. The games were great as were the DVDs. Despite being 0 at night we were warm inside. We are already planning our return holiday. One of the children commented "This is the best place we've ever stayed in the Blue Mountains". Yes, I think they're right!"

  • "I highly recommend TARA to my friends and family because it has got everything you need. My friends and I managed to cook up a birthday dinner plus a birthday cake whilst staying at the property which meant that we didn't have to worry about buying or bringing all the little extras such as herbs, spices, flour, sugar and so on.. it's really wonderful kitched and dining room for foodies!! There was even a bottle of bubbly waiting for us while our champagne chilled in the wozer fridge! Thank you:)"

  • "We stayed at Tara for two nights and loved it, great location as it was an easy walk into town. The house was clean, cosy and the views from the verandah were fantastic. Would definitely recommend staying here and a must is a visit to the pub (The Imperial Hotel) up the road, such history in this beautiful town."
