Tara is superb fully equipped 3 bedroom cottage overlooking the Kanimbla Valley. For a couple, a family or friends it is ideal.

There are queen size beds with electric blankets in the main and 2nd bedroom. The Third bedroom has two singles. The beautifully decorated main bedroom has views over the treetops to the Kanimbla Valley. All linen is provided so no need to ruin the start of your break making beds.

The large living and dining area is comfortably furnished for a lazy day or relaxing evening. To pass the time there is a stereo, television and DVD. A wide range of CDs and DVDs are provided. If you want a little more quiet, an eclectic selection of books and some favourite games are all at hand. For cool nights the gas heater quickly warms things up.

French doors lead you on to the large deck. This is the ideal place to watch the sun set or gather around the BBQ.

If the BBQ is not your style, the kitchen is well equipped, not only with the usual appliances but also a great view. So just arrive and relax.

For some laidback shopping, you can browse the local antique shops.

In addition some of the best bushwalks in the mountains are on the doorstep.

  • "The place is fantastic and had everything that we could possibly think of - and more! Its a lovely modern 3-bedroom place, complete with floorboards, full kitchen and a huge range of DVDs/ books/ board games to occupy yourself with. I would not only recommend it as a place to stay, but will be booking to stay there again in the near future."

  • "We had a fantastic time at Tara. The location was great (quiet street and close to Katoomba, Bells line of road and Jenolan). The little extras that were provided really made our stay much more enjoyable Thanks"

  • "We enjoyed our weekend stay at Tara. Nestled in a very quiet street, and with a beautiful view of Kanimbla valley from the verandah, it's a good hideaway little place that one can relax and unwind. The view from Pulpit Rock, just a short walk from Tara down the street, is stunning. One can sit there for hours taking in the view. There are even a supply of bird seed to attract the galahs, lorikeets to visit in the morning. We managed to attract some. Highly recommended. "

  • "Tara is a beautiful moutain cottage which is a close drive to the various towns and tourist sites while also being a very private and peaceful get away which is intensified by the valley views from the deck and its close proximity to bush walks. We really enjoyded staying at Tara and recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all."

When the weather suddenly turned unseasonably cold we greatly appreciated the electric blankets and your very efficient gas room heater!"
