Guest Reviews

  • "We had a fantastic holiday staying at Castaways Yamba. Great house for two families - plenty of room and great location. We went for a run/walk around the lake across the road while the fishermen left from the pontoon each morning."

  • "'Castaways' was a wonderful holiday house for our family, putting a boat in the water the day we arrived and taking it out 13 days later, it was just great having it secure at our back door with our own pontoon and jetty. We boated into Yamba every morning for coffee. The house is spacious, light, airy and very confortable modern furnishing as well every convenience you could wish for. Very nice - well done to the ownners. We will be back for sure. Yamba has so much to offer, lovely beaches, cafes and restaurants, shopping and still untouched. We had a very restful fun holdiay with our grown up family. "

  • "Our family was very comfortable in this well maintained, spacious house. The children thoroughly enjoyed fishing from the pontoon. A short boat ride up the canal and you are in the middle of a great river system itching to be explored. Yamba was a great spot for a family holiday, with an excellent beach just a short drive from the house ideal for beginner surfers. "

  • "Castaways is a great place for a Yamba holiday. The house was fantastic for two families wanting to stay together. Even with a full house of 8 people there was still plenty of space for everybody to enjoy. The park next door is quiet and great for your kids. The pontoon is large enough for plenty of people to fish at the same time. Lots of good fish and crabs caught during our stay. Looking forward to returning."

  • ""Castaways" offers the ideal holiday accomodation for the larger family. There is plenty living space, the main bedroom upstairs is luxurious and the downstairs bedrooms quite adequate. It is adjacent to a small park and has its own private jetty. Shops are handy and beaches only a short distance away. "
    Gordon, April 2008

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Castaways. It is a great family home with plenty of space for everyone (We particularly liked the parents' retreat!) The house is bright and airy and is well equipped, down to some challenging puzzles for rainy days! We enjoyed the access to the water and would love to visit again in the future."
    Karin, April 2008

  • "Fantastic house, highly recommend it. We had a great stay at Castaways despite a very wet week of weather. The house was very comfortable with plenty of living space for two families and everything we needed was there. Shopping centre close by and beautiful beaches a 5 minute drive. We will definitely be back."

  • "We loved Castaways very much and were 100% happy with our stay there. It is such a convenient location being around the corner from the shopping centre and across the road from a fantastic fishing spot. Then there is the park and the private pontoon. You really have a bit of a gem as far as an investment/holiday properties goes."
