  • "This house is great! The gardens, pool and tennis court were wonderful for our school reunion! The kitchen is very well stocked, plenty of board games in case of rainy days and there was enough living space for 17 of us to chill out very comfortably! The location couldn't be more convenient; five minutes drive to the shops, 15 minutes to the very quaint Berry and 7 mile beach or 25 to Kangaroo Valley..great if you love fudge! A lovely and homey property, with very friendly and reliable owners, which our group would happily stay at again - great for family and friend reunions of all ages! "

  • "The property is absolutely incredible and the house is just beautiful. The kitchen is amazing for a big cook-up. We had 14 people and there was plenty of room. We LOVED hanging out by the huge pool and playing an afternoon game of tennis. Both big and small kids couldn't get enough! Was the perfect location for a big family getaway. Everyone loved it, especially the four-legged guests! An excellent weekend was had. From someone who rents many properties for weekends, I highly recommend this one. It's one of my favourites. And the people who manage the property are a dream to deal with, incredibly professional and prompt in responding."

  • "The house was wonderful. We were a party of 6 adults and 7 children, and fitted in fabulously. There was so much to do at the house. The pool & tennis court & basketball hoop kept the children aged between 9 - 3 yrs old entertained. The adults relaxed by the pool and also had a hit of tennis. A great house for a group of friends. • "We used Illowra to accommodate our family and the groomsmen for our sons wedding in Nowra. It was perfect to be able to accommodate us all under the one room. We had a vey memorable dinner around the dinning room table on the Friday evening and plenty of room in the house to prepare for the wedding on the Saturday. People in each area, having coffee makeing last minute changes to speaches, cleaning shoes and grandchildren playing happily. It was a great house to be in and fitted our needs perfectly."

  • "Well we had a great time over the weekend - what a great destination. The house is pretty awesome and the grounds so lovely. We played tennis till I won a game...took hours... but we had a great time at the court and it was even warm enough in the pool to enjoy a swim!! We played board games, watch foxtel, cooked in that great kitchen and on the bbq too......and great local cafes and restaurants too"

  • "We stayed at Illowra for a long weekend with extended family and everyone agreed that it was the best time we'd had. The size of the house accommodated us all easily and its historic character set off a great mood. There's Foxtel in several rooms and a great claw bath upstairs. We sat around in the glass conservatorium eating and talking till late after cooking a BBQ outside. The tennis court was a major entertainment area next morning and Berry is not far away for shops, cafes, antiques and the like. We didn't use the pool because of the time of year but it would be fantastic to use in summer. All in all, a great (huge) house with historic character and everything included there that you would want."

  • "We just wanted to say what a great place to spend the long weekend - we had heard what a lovely place Illowra was from friends who stayed there BUT have to say the house, and the Shoalhaven were more fabulous then they had said... and its set up so well - we loved the kitchen area and glass sunroom. The house is huge and ducted air made the weekend warm and cosy inside. Pelican Rocks seafood restaurant was a great place for a meal too!! "

  • "We had a fantasic weekend and with the beautiful weather were able to make great use of the pool and the tennis court on the grounds, we were expecting a relaxed hassle free break and that's exactly what we got, the house was equipped with more than we needed. This stay we had an adults retreat with friends but after seeing the terrific setup we plan to return with the kids. We had planned to visit the local attractions but had so much fun just on the property that we only left to get groceries at the local Nowra shops. Highly recommend a stay for groups of adults or families the house is huge and made for a memorable weekend."
