Description

The Summit is the highest property in Wye River.
We have the advantage of being right in amongst the forest, which means we have a huge variety of birds including kookaburras, Cockatoos, Parrots and many more.
There is always a Koala nearby and on the odd accasion an echidna. We have even had a wallaby hopping up our driveway.
The Summit is a convenient base to discover the coast and the otway ranges or just somewhere to put your feet up and do nothing.
Pets more than welcome.

  • "I brought my partner, who lives in Nth Qld, to the Summit for 2 nights to give him a different experience of the Great Ocean Road and the surrounds. I also brought my energetic golden retriever and the 3 of us were blown away; the cabin was beautiful...everything you need was there, the views spectacular and the bush behind and below provided us with plenty of great walks. We were able to hand feed the birds, even a kookaburra! It is a quiet, peaceful refuge in this crazy world that we hope to get to again very soon. namaste!"

We were going to go out for dinner but in the end drove to Lorne and back for ingredients just so we could spend as much time as possible in 'The Summit'"

The Summit is just a very cosy bed sit, with a great bathroom, we really enjoyed the wild feel of Wye River, as long as you are a person who could survive a few flights of stairs, and not need a lift, the Summit is for you.
