Black Rabbit Cottage is a restored 1860-70's heritage listed cottage with views across the McLaren Vale region. Relax, walk to nearby wineries and enjoy the many local attractions.

Black Rabbit Cottage has three bedrooms and linen is supplied. The two main rooms have queen sized beds and the third bedroom has a double bed and two single beds. The cottage is fully self contained with an eclectic mix of antiques and contemporary furnishings throughout. Black Rabbit Cottage is supplied with an adequate supply of rain water and only uses green accredited cleaning and bathroom products.

Black Rabbit Cottage is making a commitment to a more sustainable future with the installation of Solar Panels in January 2010. The cottage is powered by a 4KW PV grid connect system, which meets all the cottages energy requirements. Help our environment by using clean energy.

Black Rabbit Cottage is situated at the foothills of the Fleurieu Peninsula and nestled amongst a Grenache vineyard and 120 year old mulberry and fig trees.

History

Locally Black Rabbit Cottage is known as "Benjamin Wickam Cottage". The cottage for most of it's 130 years was surrounded by a dairy farm, with a small bush vine Grenache vineyard planted near 100 years ago.
