The Beach Shack

Description

If you want something new and expensive then we're not for you. If you want to relax, just 50m from the beach then the orignal beach shack is for you. Opposite the only shops and bottle shop in Fingal Bay. Old but very neat and clean inside, water views from the dining room and back yard. Large living/dining room, cosy bathroom with separate shower, small compact kitchen. Main bedroom has QS bed and single bed, second bedroom has bunks, trundle bed and single bed. Outside in the large entertainment shack, there's a BBQ, outdoor setting, table tennis table and dart board. (Who said the kids can't beat mum and dad at table tennis!!) Plenty of room to store the bikes, surfboards, jet ski's etc (Sorry no room for the helicopter). No bindies, no flies, but don't forget the block out. No queuing for the key and filling out forms at the Estate Agent. Please help us pay it off!!!

Things to see and do

Fingal Bay is a beautiful protected beach for swimming and fishing at one end and a patrolled surf beach at the other end. There is a cycle/walking track from Fingal Bay to Shoal Bay and on to Nelson Bay. Fingal Bay is surrounded by Tomaree National Park with its many scenic bush walks.
Fingal Island (with its lighthouse) is connected to Fingal Bay by a sandy spit which can only be crossed at low tide (Care must be taken as the spit can be dangerous to cross at times).

It is only a short drive to Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay - golf courses, bike hire, restaurants, cafes, clubs, cinema, dolphin and whale watching cruises, as well as the ferry to Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest. 4 WD and 6 WD adventures to the sand dunes are also available.
