Cradle Mt Wilderness Village

Description

Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village is nestled in a secluded bush setting on the edge of the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain/Lake St Clair National Park.

The private, well appointed, cosy self contained cottages offer natural bush and mountain views, and are environmentally friendly without compromising comfort. The cottages have a fully equipped kitchen, dining, lounge and bathroom, free satelite TV, modem connection and direct dial STD/ISD telephones.

All cabins offer easy access with car parking at your doorstep. There is a communal BBQ area, laundry and play area for children. The propery has a guest lounge with bar and internet kiosk.

When you walk outside, you may well come face to face with a wallaby, wombat, pademelon, possum or currawong, it's all part of the 'Wilderness' experience.

Getting There

Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village is in the Cradle Valley and easily accessible by car or bus. Just over an hours drive from Burnie & Devonport, 2 hours from Strahan & Launceston & 4 hours from Hobart. Coaches depart daily from Launceston and Devonport to Cradle Mountain .

You will find us 3kms after the turn off to Cradle Mountain on the right hand side.

Things To Do

Having established your base at Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village you are within easy access of many activities within the region including a choice of wild river cruises, mine and cave tours, lavender farms, mazes, gardens, wineries and cheese, honey and raspbery producers as well as a Wildlife Park where you will come face to face with a Tasmanian devil.

Other activities include horse riding, canoeing, mountain biking, night wildlife tours, four wheel driving, fishing or simply relaxing.
