The Stables offers a unique experience of ultra-modern living combined with the charm and romance of a bygone era. The house was built in the early 1900’s and has been carefully renovated to retain many of its original classic features. It is now a comfortable, private sanctuary from where you can explore everything Melbourne has to offer.

You will be delighted with this compact Melbourne apartment which has been cleverly designed to maximize space. The open plan living areas on the ground level feature curved walls and exposed brick with restored timber floorboards, which gives the house a relaxed atmosphere. You can watch your favourite movies on the large, wall-mounted Plasma TV with DVD and complimentary internet connection.

The fully equipped kitchen is well laid out with plenty of bench space and is fitted with top quality European appliances. There is a laundry including a washing machine, dryer and sink with a separate powder room.

Catch the morning sun in your private courtyard which features recycled timber accessories. You also have access a second, larger shared courtyard if you want a bit of extra room.

Upstairs is the bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has 2 singles. A portacot is also available if required but we do ask that you bring your own cot linen.

The Stables is a unique mix of rustic and contemporary styles in a self contained townhouse that is well suited for corporate short stay accommodation or business travel to Melbourne. It is ideal holiday accommodation for up to 4 people looking for somewhere lovely to stay for their next visit to Victoria.

Middle Park contains some of the best preserved terrace houses and Victorian architecture in Melbourne. You will find quiet, wide streets featuring mature trees, cobble stoned laneways and double storey buildings in the shopping village. The Stables is just a few minute’s walk to Armstrong Street with its great cafes and boutiques and only a short stroll from the beach, Albert Park Lake and the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.

Minimum Stays:
We have a 5 night minimum for bookings made 1 month or more in advance and we will accept stays of 3 or 4 nights at our discretion within the month or if they join directly to another booking leaving no gaps in our calendar. Some peak periods attract longer minimum stays:
Spring Racing Carnival/Melbourne Cup: 7 nights
Christmas/New Year: 7 nights
Australian Open Tennis 2013: 7 nights
