Walla Station is a bed & breakfast with an oasis of calm and tranquility. The timber homestead (c.1860’s) has been elegantly restored and comfortably furnished, with modern conveniences and comfort. It is surrounded by 320 acres of bush, nestled in 3 acres of garden on the banks of the Burnett River.
Relax and get away from it all on the deep shady verandah, stroll through the garden, take a bush walk or spot birdlife. Enjoy great service and warm hospitality.
All the bedrooms have ensuites, ceiling fan, heating, garden views and verandah access. All ensuites have a bath, shower and heating.
Walla Station is easy to get to just off the Bruce Highway between Childers and Gin Gin, an ideal stop off on the way up or down the coast between Brisbane and Rockhampton or Cairns.

We are easy to get to just 3km off the Bruce Highway, between Gin Gin and Childers. It is an ideal stop off on the way up or down the coast between Brisbane and Cairns.
Relax on the verandah or in the garden, bush walk, watch the daily horse stud activities, explore the property graveyard and oldest slab hut in this part of Qld, birdwatch and star gazing.
Walla Station is on a scenic drive which goes through the Goodnight Scrub National Park, national heritage listed Boolboonda Tunnel and school, breath-taking lookouts at Mount Perry. There are several local new vineyards offering wine tasting. Gin Gin has an intersting historical village, swimming pool and good golf course.
