A prime location in one of Old Dunsboroughs best (and quietest) streets. This purpose-built holiday home has a relaxing holiday feel to it. The open plan living area upstairs with a pine-lined cathedral ceiling, full width deck (with BBQ and spa!), and expanses of glass create an unparalleled atmosphere which are only matched by the breathtaking views. Perfect for family reunions with the extended family.

The main living areas all have ocean views East to Bunbury, and North to Curtis Bay. Holidaying here amongst the treetops enhances the special nature of the house.

The house is fully equipped, and sleeps 10. All linen is provided at a cost of $20 per person per week. All the beds are made up for the guests when they arrive. The final cleaning contribution is $120.

Facilities include Foxtel, Playstation 2, soccer table, XBOX360, large backyard.

Climate

Dunsborough has a Mediterranean climate - wet winters, hot summers. In winter most of the rain comes with low pressure systems and is accompanied by windy storms. In between storms are many days of beautiful sunshine, but cool nights. Summer is beach weather. The temperatures are milder than Perth, and the sea breezes are gentler.

School leavers.

During leavers week late November, the house is unavailable as we use this period for maintenance. Booking requests for this period will therefore not be responded to.

Minimum Stay
Low season - 2 nights during the week only/ 3 nights over weekends.
Mid Season - 3 nights.
High/Peak Season - 1 week

Whales - wines - beaches - galleries - caves - forests

Summer is magical. Relax on the balcony in the late afternoon watching the gentle breezes die out while the blue waters glass over. The sound of children playing on the beach drifts inland. For the more energetic a late afternoon swim after a days sight seeing and wine tasting is recommended.

Winter in Dunsborough is also very special - the crowds have gone, but the wineries, scenery and galleries remain. The fishing is even better, the golf courses less crowded, and in spring the whales arrive. The house is fully heated in winter. From late August to early December whales can often be seen from the balcony, but for an unforgettable experience take the whale watching tour which departs from nearby Quindalup. The wineries and beaches are available year round.

Local Attractions

Dunsborough, WAs top Tourism Town in 1999 and 2007, is the gateway to Cape Naturaliste. Located 25km from Busselton and just round the corner from Yallingup this area has some of the most beautiful coastlines in Australia. Sheltered by the waters of Geographe Bay, Dunsborough has a lot to offer. Whale watching, sailing, canoeing, fishing, scuba diving, windsurfing, water skiing, horse riding, golf, wildlife parks, wineries and galleries featuring local arts & crafts. The Meelup National Park is 200m away, and this is the start of a coastal walking trail that goes all the way to Cape Naturaliste.

Beaches. The Dunsborough beaches in Geographe Bay have spectacular white sands, and are safe for children. For those more active just around the corner on the west coast are some of the world's best surfing beaches.

Wineries
The majority of the wineries in the Margaret River wine region lie between Dunsborough and Margaret River. The closest to Dunsborough is probably Happs or Wise Winery which are only a few kilometres away. Margaret River is approximately 40 kms from Dunsborough.

Busselton Jetty Observatory
A must see - at the end of the 2 kilometre long Busselton Jetty is an underwater observatory which has just opened. The Busselton Jetty has unique cold water corals, and the observatory was built to showcase these.

Guest Reviews
Absolutely beautiful house which we all loved. So close to old Dunsbourough waterfront with its lovely bays and long walks.

We were a party of 9 and stayed for a long weekend. The house is lovely. It is light & roomy. It has a well equipped kitchen and all the mod cons. The balcony was spacious and provided a great view of the ocean. A very short walk to the beach and close enough to walk into town for supplies if you have to. We loved it so much we're going back.

It was a wonderful experience. What a view! The house was exceptionally equipped. A short stroll to the beach and whale's were spotted from the balcony.

We had a week stay at the house for my hubby's 40th birthday...and it was fantastic. The weather was perfect, the house is totally set up for kids, we had 4 between 2 families, ranging in age from 8 to 1. very easy. And I must say the spa tub on the deck was the best!! We used it every day for relaxing. Also in a great location for picking up food and going out and about. We will go there again!

We had a wonderful time at the Old Dunsborough Beachhouse. I knew my 2 year old was safe at all times and could relax and let him play. We're now considering hiring it again with some friends who also have a child.
