Bungan Beach is an idyllic pristine beach just 40 minutes' north of Sydney by car. Eastern Sunrise is a short 50 metre stroll to the sand and the surf, ideally positioned for early morning walks or a swim before breakfast. Positioned on the Eastern hillside the house looks out over the Pacific Ocean to the horizon. Whales and dolphins can occasionally be spotted at certain times of the year.
The house is a light, airy and spacious 4 bedroom home split over three levels. With its Eastern influence, modern conveniences and laid-back elegance it is also the perfect retreat for a romantic getaway or a family holiday.
The home has a wonderful eclectic feel. Eastern and African collectables blend beautifully with the early Australian colonial furniture, polished timber floors, Kelim rugs, and all the creature comforts you need to make your stay memorable. The atmosphere is beautiful, relaxed and welcoming.
The upper level hosts the formal dining and lounge areas, as well as a separate sunroom, all with sparkling views of the ocean. Large sliding doors lead to an extensive outdoor terrace, perfect for soaking up the sun or whiling away a long BBQ lunch. Even the chef can admire the view from the stylish modern kitchen equipped with stainless steel European appliances!
There are 4 double bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Middle level comprises Master bedroom with 1 King antique four poster bed and canopy with mosquito net, and large ensuite; second bedroom with queen bed, and third bedroom with 2 x singles, and another full bathroom. All bedrooms lead directly on to a deck with views of the ocean.
The lower level is very private and has a large bedroom with double bed and full ensuite, its own separate entrance and courtyard. There is also an outdoor shower, a double lock up garage plus off street parking.
There is an internal laundry, washer and dryer plus guest toilet on the top living level.
Bungan Beach is one of Sydney's best kept secrets. It is hidden from the main road and has no vehicular access nor parking facilities, making it much less crowded than other beaches. It is a popular surfing spot, has its own surf club, and is regularly patrolled by surf lifesavers.
It is conveniently located close to both Newport and Mona Vale shopping centres, excellent restaurants and cafes.
Whether you are lulled to sleep by the sound of waves breaking on the shore, or watching the sun or the moon rise over the ocean, you can be sure that your stay at Eastern Sunrise will be one to treasure.
