Description

A 15 minute walk to the heart of Sydney via Darling Harbour, City Lights Terrace offers a unique Sydney stay experience. The building was constructed in the 1800\'s, to house workers employed in the many wool storage buildings in Ultimo and Sydney\'s Rocks areas. The house is compact, in keeping with its humble beginnings and has the feel of original Sydney town. It has been fully renovated and newly furnished to provide a modern, comfortable holiday experience.

The terrace will sleep 6 people and is fully airconditioned. The 3 bedrooms consist of 2 upstairs bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, whilst the downstairs bedroom has a double bunk bed - 2 singles. A highchair, cot and bedding are available as well as a 2 toddler gates.

The stair case is quite steep, typical of a terrace house.

Other features are a private courtyard with a leafy canopy overhead, a timber outdoor table setting for 6 and BBQ. Double glazed windows in the front rooms, attractive polished timber floors and a skylight in the new, fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a table setting for 4 and a 2nd table can be added to comfortably seat 6 people. We have provided books, LCD TV, board games, and a home entertainment system with a selection of DVD\'s for relaxing after a day in the City.

Guest Reviews

  • "This beautiful terraced house was a bargain compared with an equivalent hotel room. Very much a home away from home. Conveniently located for Darling Harbour and the markets, yet nice and quiet at night time. We'll be sure to stay again."

  • "I can only say positive things about this little gem. It is well kept beautifully organised with the available space. location wise it can't get much better, minutes away from Darling Harbour and Chinatown. It truly is a home away from home and I also have nothing but praise for Nola the owner, who was very responsive and helpful. Really an excellent experience."

  • "This property is a delight in a busy city. The owners were a pleasure to deal with, extremely courteous and welcoming. Would definitely consider utilising property again. "

  • "I booked City Lights Terrace for international friends & family to use while I was getting married in Sydney and I couldn?t be happier with how it all worked out. From the moment we walked through the door this beautifully renovated terrace had such a nice feel to it, from all the new furnishings to the stunning timber floors, to the large comfy beds, to the great little outdoor terrace with BBQ that I think we used most days. There?s no way you could find anything better to accommodate 6 adults for the same price that close to the CBD..!! I?ll be telling all future friends coming to Sydney about this marvelous place. Also Nola the host was an absolute delight to deal with and extremely friendly.. My guest and I were exceptionally pleased at the end of our stay, Thank you Nola & City Lights Terrace?.!!!! "

  • "Great value, unbelievable location. We were pinching ourselves after we'd moved in. Sometimes it's fair to have suspicions about a property that looks great online, only to find the reality is much worse -- no such thing here. :) I am happy to say City Lights was the real deal. The only criticism we could muster was regarding the stairs leading up/down the second storey. They are super steep! Otherwise, perfect for a 6-person weekender."

  • "Beautiful terrace house, very new refubishment. Comfortable Lounges, Lovely beds. 5 of us stayed here and space wasn't a problem. Close to Darling Harbour, Monorail, Powerhouse Museum etc. Loved it so much, I have booked to stay again in February 2009."

  • "This is the most amazing place to stay - so close to the city, clean, cute, quiet (yes it is quiet!), has everything you would need. Very friendly owners. There is no need for a car - just catch the train, the ferry, the bus, walk. We are a family of five - three teenagers and it wasn't too cramped, it was just perfect."

  • "We were searching for accommodation for our family, my sister in law and her daughter, who were visiting from Italy and wanted to visit Sydney. City Lights Terrace was fantastic - the hosts were very helpful and ensured that our stay ran smoothly, the location is excellent - an easy walk to Darling Harbour and the ferries, a bus stop on the corner for the Sydney Pass bus, as well as regular buses into town, near the Ian Thorpe swimming centre and literally right across from the wonderful Powerhouse Museum. Paddy's Markets and the Fish Market are also within walking distance, and Hanna's Pies make great coffee. Despite it's central location, it was very quiet at night, and very comfy beds made for great rest. Overall we had a great time, and look forward to coming back in February!"

  • "We did a last minute accommodation search and couldn?t believe our luck when we stumbled upon this little gem. It?s centrally located ? walking distance to Darling Harbour, City and any type of public transport. We were even more pleasantly surprised when we go there. It?s cosy, beds are very comfortable and hosts Nola and Bill though of every little detail to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I would choose this property over a 5 star hotel any time."
