A 15 minute walk to the heart of Sydney via Darling Harbour, City Lights Terrace offers a unique Sydney stay experience. The building was constructed in the 1800's, to house workers employed in the many wool storage buildings in Ultimo and Sydney's Rocks areas. The house is compact, in keeping with its humble beginnings and has the feel of original Sydney town. It has been fully renovated and newly furnished to provide a modern, comfortable holiday experience.
The terrace will sleep 6 people plus an infant and is fully airconditioned. The 3 bedrooms consist of 2 upstairs bedrooms, each with a Queen size bed, whilst the downstairs bedroom has a double bunk bed - 2 Singles. Good quality linen, all bedding and towels are provided. A highchair, cot, bedding, and 2 toddler gates are available by arrangement. There is one toilet/bathroom.
The stair case is quite steep, typical of a terrace house.
Other features are a private courtyard with a leafy canopy overhead, a timber outdoor table setting for 6 and BBQ. Double glazed windows have been installed in the front rooms to ensure the house is a quiet retreat for our guests. Attractive polished timber floors and a skylight in the new, fully equipped kitchen. A comfortable, cosy lounge with an LCD TV and home entertainment system. Wireless internet is provided free of charge.
The kitchen has a table setting for 4 and a 2nd table may be added to comfortably seat 6 people. There is no separate dining room. We have provided books, board games, and a selection of over 40 DVD's for relaxing after a day exploring Sydney.
Close to all major Sydney tourist attractions you have the choice to walk or take public transport. Paddy's Market Monorail Station is a 2 minute walk from the house, mostly under a covered walkway and 50 metres further on is the Haymarket Light Rail station.
Extensive playground equipment and lawns for young and older children to enjoy in the nearby Darling Harbour development. If you love to swim, the new Ian Thorpe Aquatic centre is 1 block from City Lights Terrace.
The Red Sydney Explorer bus stops only metres from the house and runs through the day time every 20 minutes. It visits 27 of Sydney's most famous attractions such as the Opera House, Royal Botanic Gardens, Mrs Macquarie's Chair.
A few minutes walk to The Entertainment Centre, Darling Harbour and Her Majesties Theatre. Circular Quay and Central Station are within an easy walking distance.
