Description

The house has unobstructed views across the mutton-bird Reserve and its abundant wildlife. It has three separate entertainment areas – there is a games room on the first level, TV area on Level 2, and a lounge room on the top level with floor-to-ceiling windows to capture 180° views. It has been designed on environmental principles with solar hot water, and with tinted and double-glazed windows which are positioned to maximise the air flow. There is reverse-cycle heating and cooling on the top level, a heater in the middle level, and fans in the bedrooms for the summer months.

Living arrangments

There are four bedrooms, two with Queen-size beds, one with a double bed, and a room with two single beds and a cot. The TV room has a fold-down Queen-size sleeper couch. There are fully-appointed bathrooms in the upper two levels (including a spa bath attached to the main bedroom). The bottom level bathroom/laundry includes a shower and a toilet. It is a child-friendly house with a cot, high chair and stroller available, and a cubby house in the garden. Guests are asked to provide their own sheets, pillow-cases and towels. The Phillip Island Linen Service can meet all linen requirements.

Cooking and eating

The dining room features a generous solid-wood table large enough to seat 12 people. The kitchen is very well equipped and leads onto an enclosed deck with a gas BBQ. All electrical appliances, such as washing machine, dryer, microwave, dishwasher, TV, DVD and CD player, are provided. The basic condiments, beverages and cooking ingredients are provided.
