Port Hughes is located approx. under 2 hours north of Adelaide (via Port Wakefield) offering fabulous fishing, and beautiful white sandy beaches. Great for younger kids with shallow waters for safe swimming and beachcombing for shells. Within 2 hours from Clare Valley wine region and Flinders Ranges and2kms from Moonta Bay jetty and beach.
From “Gulfview” premises in Snell Avenue (80 metres to beach access walkways) you can stroll to Moonta Bay via council fenced walkways and take in Sims Cove, Mini Sims Cove and then you will see Moonta Bay jetty and beach. The panaromic views of the Gulf are amazing and the historical cliffs along the way are breath taking. Breath in the fresh ocean air – your lungs will love it – your skin will feel great and your eyes will be the clearest they’ve been in years!!!! 0.8kms to South Beach.
