Cedar Lodge is a recently renovated chic and stylish split level 3 bedroom house which sits in beautiful native plant surroundings. There is a large lounge and dinning area which has air-con and opens up into the garden where you will find a sail covered outdoor entertainment area. This features table, seating, BBQ facilities and a garden to relax in. The kitchen is fitted with all mod cons and the bathroom has a washing machine. The bedrooms comprise of three double beds, plus a single bed in one and all bedrooms have built in wardrobes. All furnishing are brand new and Cedar Lodge can comfortably sleep up to 7 people, pets are welcome.
It’s but a moments stroll from Cedar Lodge to the peaceful warm waters and beautiful scenery of St George’s Basin where of an evening you can sit on the shore and watch the magical purple and red sunsets over the water. There are a number of boat ramps situated around the Basin and ample parking at the house for a small pleasure craft. It’s a 15 minute drive to Huskisson, the breathtaking Booderee National Park and Jervis Bay where there are a number of gorgeous world class beaches for swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear waters. The shores of the bay offer a wealth of attractions for visitors and there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
DOLPHINS AND WHALE WATCHING TOURS:
A number of companies operate out of Huskisson & provide a variety of dolphin cruises and whale watching trips.
WATERSPORTS:
Ideal spot for all types of water sports including diving, snorkelling, fishing, sailing and surfing.
BEACHES:
Just 10 mins drive away in the National Park the pure white sands of Hyams, Murray and Caves Beach which is well known for its surf. These beaches are beautifully secluded with crystal clear waters. If you love beaches, you\'ll love these!
BUSHWALKING:
There is a scenic walking track along the shores of St George\'s Basin or stroll through the National Park\'s heathlands and beaches.
WILDLIFE:
If you haven\'t seen a wild Kangaroo yet then look no further as Sanctuary Point is renowned for its Kangaroo population. They bound around the streets and lounge in people’s back yards and wooded areas.
EATING OUT:
The Deck restaurant is situated on the shores of The Basin (5 mins drive), with fine dining and BYO it’s a must! Gunyah restaurant at The Paperbark Camp located in the forest near Woolamia (30 mins drive) delivers a unique treetop dining experience not to be forgotten! The Country Club (2 min drive) also offers a variety of good food including the Po Loy Chinese restaurant.
FAMILY:
Children\'s playground with new BBQ facilities at the edge of the calm waters of the Basin (5 mins drive). Indoor heated swimming pool (with water slide) at The Bay and Basin Leisure Centre.
GOLF:
18 hole golf course (5 mins walk), tennis courts, bowling and lots of other forms of entertainment are provided at the local country club. There is free transport to and from the club by the local courtesy bus.
CYCLING:
Bike track from Sanctuary Point to Huskisson via Vincentia or enjoy the shores of The Basin. Hire motorised bikes and cruise the National Park at you leisure.
SOMETHING DIFFERENT:
Visit the Emu Farm or try prawning in The Basin at night (Summer only) Take the Bush Tucker Tour or stroll through the beautiful Botanical Gardens. Take a horse back tour with the local horse farm.
