Guest Reviews

  • "We stayed for a weekend and really loved both Kataway and the area. Kataway has a lovely layout & atmosphere. The view of the Myall Lake from the balcony is spectacular and we really enjoyed early morning coffee just watching the bird life and we even saw a few kangaroos and wallabies on the front grass. Fortunately, the area is quiet and not too touristy which was great for us as we were looking for a relaxing stay away from the city. It is a beautiful area and we also recommend going for a drive through the Wallingat National Park (there is a good track through forest off the parking area / picnic area in the middle off the park and the Whoota Whoota lookout in the north of the park was a great panaramic view of the Wallis Lake area."

  • "We loved Kataway. It has a fabulous view, loads of space for relaxing, and everything you'll ever need for entertaining and having a great holiday. It's also only a 5 minute drive to a whole heap of gorgeous beaches."

  • "Our 2nd visit to Kataway was fabulous! We thoroughly enjoy staying in this house. Sitting on the porch looking out over the lake is just spectacular. During this holiday, while visiting Seal Rocks and other nearby beaches, we saw dolphins and sharks!"

  • "We stayed at Kataway for 3 nights, if only the weather was as good as the house it would of been a perfect few days break. the house is amazing with a view of the lake to die for. Its kitted out with everything you need and only a short drive from seal rocks. The good thing about the weather being bad ment we could make full use of the log burner. This really was a great place to stay and we couldn't fault a thing. We will defianatly be returning one day."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - Kataway gave us all we wanted and more. The house has been nicely renovated and is wonderfully spacious and homey. The location is fantastic for both the beach and the lake. No need to go anywhere to spot the wildlife! We hope to stay again soon. "

  • "The house has been beautifully renovated and the large outside balcony provides a great place to socialise with drinks and dinner. It was very comfortable and catered for the essentials. One downfall is the rocky road/dirt track that you have to drive on to get to the beach - however the beach was worth the drive. Thanks again."
