Description
"OurSecret" is Helen's charming Katoomba cottage, set in a mature garden which is lovely all year round. Your accommodation is private, self-contained and fully furnished, including a gas log fire in the comfortable heritage lounge room, a modern kitchen and bathroom (with underfloor heating!) and comfortable heritage Queen-sized bedroom. All linen is provided free including linen, doonas and towels.
Digital Freeview TV, DVD player, local books, and Australia-wide touring information. WiFi internet access - BYO laptop, tablet, smartphone (limited FREE usage for tourist information and email or messaging purposes. Conditions and excessive usage charges apply.).
Maximum persons=one couple.

This cottage is NOT in distant Blackheath - as are some others advertised on Stayz as "Katoomba Accommodation". It is perfectly located on the tourist (south) Echo Point side of KATOOMBA, just around the corner from where the Folk and Winter Magic Festivals are held, between the eclectic KATOOMBA shops and the famous KATOOMBA tourist attractions. Iconic KATOOMBA bushwalks, popular KATOOMBA "Eat Street" restaurants, KATOOMBA RSL Club, and KATOOMBA's Lurline Street galleries are nearby. Few cottages are so convenient for visitors !
Short, near-level walks from the cottage take visitors to the Lurline Street galleries, restaurants, information centre, craft shops, and to Echo Point where the famous "Three Sisters" formation can be seen - or walked to along the Prince Henry Cliff Walk. This excellent bushwalk takes in the most spectacular views of Blue Mountains National Park. Connecting tracks start as close as 100 metres from the cottage.
All the highlights of Katoomba/Leura/Wentworthfalls can be reached by Explorer/Trolley bus with a stop 50 metres away, and there is no need for a car. For going further there are connecting buses and trains, tour buses, local car hire and taxi.
Further afield are the Blue Mountains, Gardens of Stone, and Wollemi National Parks, plus Blackheath (!) Jenolan Caves, Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Bilpin & Mount Wilson gardens, Mudgee and Cowra vineyards, Bathurst, Orange, and the beautiful Hartley and Megalong Valleys which provide opportunities for bushwalking, off-road touring, horse-riding, mountain biking, rock climbing, abseiling, canyoning, garden tours, and wildlife viewing. Local guiding and instructing companies can be found in the main shopping area of Katoomba. OurSecret Cottage is in an excellent position to serve as a base for car touring in the Central West and Central Tablelands Regions.
