"My ultimate 'chill out' place to stay! The photos do not do it justice, this has such a peaceful relaxing ambience with dolphins dancing in the morning and kayakers rowing by at sunset while we had drinks and bbq in the fairy lit gazebo just by the private jetty. There is always something to look at on the Murray River and from a great vantage point. We kayaked for hours on a warm Sunday morning and then took a boat into Pinjarra for lunch and visited the gorgeous boutique cafes and interesting shops and on the way viewed the beautiful homes and gardens along the waterway amongst the natural forest. In winter we built a fire and played pool, listened to music, watched dvds, had a dinner party. It is a beautiful well equipped well kept home with lovely natural gardens of all types of flora and you feel a million miles away from anyone, it is very private and peaceful, cant recommend highly enough."

"My family have stayed at Heron Place on a number of times. But this particular time was with a large crowd of 12 plus the odd person for a night, for a week. The age group ranged from 56 to 16. We chose this place because it could cater for the age range and provided amusement for all.
Also the gazebo was a great escape for the "oldies" to play cards and talk.
TIP: We took a small bar fridge and set that up in the Gazebo. The teenagers could be in the house to play pool and use the table tennis or chill out in front of "telli" with a DVD to all hours, as they did. We also took our boat which gave us easy access to the Pelican Cafe or a trip into Mandurah. The teenagers also used the boat to go "biscuiting". We could also bring our little dog "cookie" as there is a kennel on the verandah.
Great fun had by all. A good way to bridge that generation gap. Enjoy"

"I have recently had the pleasure to stay at Heron place. As the property is in a cul-de-sac there is no traffic noise to compete with the myriad of wildlife that surrounds this location. Pelicans in the early morning, ducks and the occasional dolphin breaking the surface of the water and of course the ever present native birds that herald the dawn.
The house is perfectly set out with lots of space a very well appointed kitchen and of course all the comforts of home such as TV and Video player etc. Outside there is a BBQ and a Gazebo down by the private jetty.
The property faces west so in the morning you can enjoy an outside breakfast taking in the 180 degree views across the canals and in the afternoon watch the sun go down whilst enjoying a pre-dinner drink.
A very restful stay."

"Had a great stay at Heron Place. Great location. The house is setup so that you dont need a thing, everything is there that you need for a relax. I even caught a feed of crabs from the jetty.
Would recommend this holiday house to anyone looking for a nice getaway or a week of doing nothing but sitting back.
Will be back."
