Description

For something very different, come and experience the rustic charm of the Log Cabin. Walk in, shut the door and feel the cares of the world lift from your shoulders in this very special place, delightfully free from all the trappings of modern life.
The Log Cabin, with its charming country ambience and the calm waters of Erowal Bay at its doorstep, offers countless ways in which to escape the pressures of city life. Stretch out on one of the various chaise longues with a good book - and enjoy a quiet afternoon snooze. Or sit on the verandah and enjoy the view as well as the plethora of wildlife - Kangaroos, Ducks, Pelicans, Black Swans, Possums, Bandicoots. You might also catch a glimpse of the local Sea Eagle soaring over Erowal Bay. You will definitely enjoy the abundant bird life, possibly even spot the Tawny Frogmouths that sometimes sleep the day away in one of the trees in the garden. Or if you are feeling energetic enjoy a family game of cricket on the lawn. Then watch the sun set across the bay, BBQ and eat under the stars, go prawning at night, roast marshmallows on the open fire... And finally off to bed and be lulled into sleep with the sound of the wind whispering through the Casuarinas.
But if you insist on being very active, it is only a five minute drive to beautiful Hyams Beach and a short drive to the many local attractions such as Booderee National Park, which houses some of the most pristine beaches in the world. Snorkel, swim or bushwalk in Jervis Bay and its environs. Explore the local shops in Huskisson or for a charming day trip, drive to Berry, an historic township.
Play golf in Vincentia or join a Kayaking tour with the Jervis Bay Kayaking Company, conveniently located next door at 27 Naval Parade! Spot whales and dolphins from cruises leaving Huskisson. Catch a movie in the historic Husky Cinema. Wine, dine or get your caffeine fix and gourmet delights at one of the many cafes and restaurants in Huskisson.
On the other hand it is a short stroll to the local general store /bottle shop/ petrol station/ newsagency/ take-away food outlet where Michael and Lorraine will look after your last minute purchases.
Bring your whole family, a second family or a group of friends. Space is not an issue. The Log Cabin accommodates twelve people in comfort with two queen-size bedrooms, (one with water views and ensuite), an airy and spacious bunk room for six, and a fourth bedroom that sleeps two. The kitchen and laundry are well equipped to cater for all your domestic needs.

  • "We stayed here with family for a 40th birthday weekend and it was everything and more that we could have wished for. What an open fire, what a view, what a wonderful time we had. Great for groups - the house has everything you need in a beautiful spot. Bocce on the lawn out front with a glass of champers in hand as the sun goes down - bliss! And did I mention the fireplace. Thanks again!! "

  • "We booked this place for 12 people for 2 nights and initially chose it based on it's affordable price. It was above our expectations and we really loved the place. It had everything we needed except a TV, but who needs one when you've got a beautiful lake and sunset that is visible from the living room. We would definitely come back here again!"

  • "Better than expected, fully equipped house with everything imaginable! Loved the fireplace, cosy, comfy and quiet! Feed the kangaroos that visited our backyard, watching the sunsets and managed a spot of whale and dolphin watching at the local beach! Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable stay."

  • "We really enjoyed our (much too brief time) at the Log Cabin. Lovely spacious home with a big cosy fire and great outlook. Highly recommended for larger group, or even just a small family like ours. Very well equipped and great location for casual walks or exploring the surrounding area. "

  • "What a lovely place this is. We were 11 friends that stayed here on the long weekend in June and man oh man what joy. It's the perfect spot to break away from the city. The fireplace is great for the cold winter nights and I can't wait to visit again in the summer. Thanks Guys, it's a real gem."

  • "My friends and I had a truly memorable weekend at the Log Cabin. Charming, cosy and with a lovely setting on the lake, we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and homely place to stay. We will definitley re-visit time and time again. "

  • "The Log Cabin was well equipped with all the equioemnt you required. It was clean and had decent size rooms and the open fire place gave it that rustic look and appeal. It is in a great position and sitting on the verandah looking at the water and watching the kchildren fishing was relaxing. A very nice place to stay especially if there is a few people."

  • "We had a wonderful weekend at The Log Cabin and would love to visit again. It was the perfect place to explore Jervis Bay - we recommend Green Patch beach in the national park for gorgeous water & white sand. The Log Cabin was cosy, relaxing and had everything we needed for the weekend. We had great fun around the log fire and sharing conversation around the large dining table. We are a group of mid 20's but didn't need a club or pub to enjoy ourselves for once!"

  • "We absolutely loved the place. It has a great homely/warm feel. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. There is a big main living area with a fireplace and windows from floor to ceiling showing the beautiful water view. Feeling really relaxed after the weekend and will definitely be back. "
