The Heritage listed Brokenback Homestead is one of Pokolbin's finest residences. Brokenback Homestead is set on 110 acres in the historic Oakvale Winery with breathtaking views of the Brokenback Ranges and rolling vineyards. It is perfectly located on Broke road, surrounded by cellar doors, in one of Pokolbin's best locations.
The spacious Homestead is the perfect getaway for family and friends with five Queen bedrooms(one with two single beds), three bathrooms(two are ensuites) and gourmet kitchen which adjoins the large Tuscan style dining and lounge room. The Homestead is fully self contained with linen supplied.
Relax with a glass of Hunter wine on one of three beautiful outdoor settings overlooking the vineyard, or inside in the massive open plan entertainment wing which includes a huge open sandstone fireplace, 40 foot high cathedral ceilings, HD LCD with AUSTAR and a restaurant sized gourmet kitchen.
If you prefer some privacy, four of the five bedrooms have their own verandahs, each with their own unique vista of the property. The bedrooms are situated in a separate part of the homestead, suitably distanced from the entertainment areas.
Perfect for wedding accommodation or just to reunite with family and friends. Brokenback Homestead is a mere 150 metres from the Oakvale Wines Cellar Door, and less than 5 minutes from the centre of Pokolbin, the Hunter Valley Gardens, wineries, restaurants and championship golf courses.
For families with small children, both the homestead and winemakers cottage are equipped with port-a-cot, highchair and plastic cups and plates.

If you only have a small group or are travelling as a couple the Winemakers Cottage would be the perfect place to stay. Located a mere 200 metres from the Cellar Door. The Cottage has three Queen bedrooms(one with two single beds), which all open on to a beautiful 360 degree wrap around verandah and two bathrooms(one an ensuite), lovely open kitchen and dining/lounge. The cottage has all the comforts of home and is fully self contained with linen supplied. It features a BBQ and outdoor setting, slow combustion fire, reverse cycle air conditioning, HD LCD TV with AUSTAR, port a cot and high chair.

If you like the feeling of being in the bush this is the place for you. You can light a fire on the brick bbq or sip a glass of wine on the verandah whilst soaking up the view of the vineyards and the Brokenback Ranges. There are also ample bush walking tracks going back into the State Forest.

Rates are Fri-Sun $500 per night minium 2 night stay and Mon-Thur $320 per night .
