Hunter River Retreat has 5 self-contained mountainside spa cottages with breath taking views over looking the valley and Hunter River.
On 1st Octber 2007 we will be adding another huge 8-10 people cabin called IRONBARK LODGE, please ask for details.
We have one 2 people Cottage with Spa Bath and three larger cabins with JACUZZIS that sleep up to 6 people.
Each cottage has its own spa, air-conditioned, wood fires , large verandahs, BBQs and linen provided.
We have a tennis court, swimming pool, fishing in the Hunter River and bushwalking and of course our fabulous DAY SPA on the 110 acres.
Our DAY SPA is open and we are offering our guests amazing introductory Wine Tour and Day Spa Packages as well as Day Spa Packages.
On site we have Rosebrook Estate Wines, vineyard and wine tasting. We also do bus winery tours - you taste we drive.
If your looking for Australiana with Iron roof and Cedar Cabins with bush BBQ and all totally self contained this is it.
All cabins are totally isolated from each other, so no neighbours.
Our fantastic bohemian DAY SPA is now open for all guests to enjoy. Bookings are essential.
Hunter River Retreat is close to Historic Morpeth, the Lovedale vineyards and Pokolbin.
An Easy drive to Newcastle, Nelson Bay, Barrington Tops and Wollombi.

Week Day bookings start at $140 per night for 2 people.
Minimum 2 night stay midweek.

1 Night stays can be arranged on application of booking.
Larger cabins start at $160 per night.

The house and views were amazing as was the pool, the spa and the tennis courts. It was extremely well equipped and surprisingly, people weren't even interested in the wineries as they were enjoying themselves so much in the house. The late night visiting horses were an added bonus. We will definitely be back and it comes highly recommended.
