Nestled at the foot of the Brokenback mountain range in the tranquil village of Broke is our lovely country cottage - Monkey Place Farm.
The Monkey Place farm cottage is superb with views that will take our breath away. It was originally built as a returned serviceman's grant from the Boer War and as such is just shy of 100 years old. It has had many owners over the years and if the walls could talk I'm sure you would hear some fascinating tales. The farm was once a small dairy but is now a part of Fordwich Estate, a 100 acre working vineyard which has produced several trophy winning wines.
The working vineyard also boasts a 9 hole golf course which was designed and built by Merv Hayward from Cypress Lakes. The course was recently featured in Australian Golf Digest magazine and was titled "a dream backyard" and the course is yours for your private use as a guest.
This magnificent cottage has been newly refurbished with all the creature comforts including ducted air-conditioning and under floor heating. The beautiful kitchen has top of the range modern appliances for ease of use and a , which still holds that 'country charm'. It has 2 stylish large comfortable bedrooms and a external converted studio (without bathroom and toilet) 5 metres from the main cottage. We also have a queen sofa bed available in the lounge of the main cottage if preferred. It has a chef's gourmet kitchen/dining room and a lovely lounge area . The bathroom has a huge bath and shower and there is a separate large utility room with extra toilet.
The lounge room still has the original fireplace intact so enjoy the open fire on those cold evenings in winter. All creature comforts are there including flat screen TV and Austar. A large timber deck wraps itself around all sides of this lovely cottage and overlooks the vineyard with spectacular views, ideal for a leisurely breakfast or a BBQ. Enjoy a game of golf on your own course or just practice your swing. The property even has a cricket pitch for that summer game of cricket.
Monkey Place Farm is perfect for a small family or a group of up 6 guests.
We can provide a chef at the house for special occasions or any sort of catering to suit your needs. We can also arrange wine tours and events and transfers.

* The nightly weekend rate for 2 guests is $325 per night (2 night minimum). Extra guests are charged at $85 per person per night. Children under 13 years are charged at $60 per child per night. Infants under 2 are free.

* Discounts are available on stays of 5 nights and over, please contact us for a quote.
* Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas and New Year bookings must be for a minimum of 4 or more guests and are a minimum 3 night stay at full weekend rate. * Concert weekends must be a minimum of 4 or more guest.
