Description

In the Bush at the Beach is an hour's drive north of Sydney nestled in a rainforest canopy in a National Trust listed community, Pearl Beach.

Feel at home in your private hideaway that's a brief walk to beautiful Pearl Beach. Why not walk around the point along the rocks and look across Lion Island to Palm Beach then mozy along to little known Flathead Beach with its astounding rock pools and formations. A great adventure for the kids.

This classic beach house is ideally suited to families and has three generous sized bedrooms and separate guest room with ensuite. Upstairs are three bedrooms containing one queen bed, a queen sofa bed and a king single bed. The master bedroom is large and sunny and opens up directly to the outside deck and pool area. Use the sofa bed as a bedroom or ideal for a second sitting area.

Downstairs is a separate guest room with queen size bed and ensuite. All rooms are spacious, with two opening onto timber decks. The beds have feather-down doonas and good quality mattresses.

The open plan living area includes a large lounge room and separate dinning table for 8 with an additional baloncy off the dining area where you can just relax on those hot nights at the beach. A gourmet style kitchen with casual eating area enables easy and relaxed communication.

Set on 1400sm of land with the National Park at the rear, you will find this retreat a private and tastefully renovated hideaway that sleeps 7 guests: (note: the second bedroom has a king single bed and a fold away bed can be added to the guest room for another child if required).

Built in the 1950s, "In the Bush at the Beach" has a commanding position looking over the tops of the trees and at night, you can hear the ocean. In the winter sit by the cosy wood fire, read a book or just watch TV and chat to friends around the kitchen.

You can use the rock pool for laps or if you prefer use the inground 8 metre pool right at your bedroom door.

  • "We had a fantastic stay at pearl beach the house was nice and clean and 4 mins walk to the beach. The children enjoyed the pool as well, we had lots of friends staying at pearl beach for a wedding so we got to compare lots of properties! and we were very happy with our choice. It was simple to organise with susanne. It would be perfect if they had a bbq as oppposed to a webber. But i would still highly recommend any one to stay there."

  • "We (family of five; kids 13,11 and 2 y.o.) had a great week here. The house is like a grown-up version of everything you liked about those beach shack getaways as a child... relaxing, informal but containing enough mod cons to keep contemporary kids quiet (pool!) as well as their parents (er..pool! plus an exceptionally user-friendly kitchen... everyone's got to eat, it might as well be fun). The house feels more in the treetops than on the forest floor, and even the most insect-phobic of us emerged unscathed. Easy walk to the beach, even if you are 2... and a child-friendly swim when you get there, with a bit more wave activity further down the beach for older kids. Highly recommended for a family holiday where the parents get a well-earned break as well as their children."

  • "In the Bush at the Beach is my favourite holiday house to date. I went with a group of friends that I havent seen in a long time and it was the perfect place to catch up and relax. It was so wonderful to sit on the back deck admiring your own private oasis whilst listening to the abundance of nature sounds. I also loved meeting the local kookaburras and bush turkeys. The pool is an added bonus, although the peaceful and picturesque Pearl Beach is only a 5-10 minute stroll away, its fantastic to be able to jump in the pool on return, just to cool off again. Cooking in the kitchen with state of the art appliances was a cooks heaven. We also enjoyed playing games around the very large family dining table by night and eating dessert on the front deck whilst spotlighting mother and baby possum in the tree nearby. The beds and sleeping arrangements are great, having a granny flat downstairs is an excellent idea. All the linen was of excellent standard too. I highly recommend staying at In the Bush at the Beach. Its big enough for a family or close friends to escape the bustle of day to day life. "

  • "This property was fantastic to stay in. It had all the essentials you would need from home was presented with a warm home feeling. Cleanliness was great, as was the egyptian cotton sheets. The only thing that was missing was a gas BBQ (although there was a webber) but we made so with the hot plate on the stove. Suzanne was lovely to deal with and was very flexible in bookings. Would definitely recommend to friends! "
