Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Our accommodation was fantastic- a big, comfortable, beautiful old home with lovely gardens and spacious outdoor areas. We backed onto a lake which had plenty of birdlife. The fresh (still warm out of the oven) home-cooked choc-cherry muffins which were delivered each morning to us were a real treat. Highly recommended accommodation.

I'm reluctant to post a glowing comment in case too many people find out about this fantastic property... so I should warn people about the aggressive ducks in in the backyard, the exhausting walk around the lake in the afternoon, not to mention that the kids didn't want to leave the house to go exploring Tasmania! I'm sure we'll be back - thanks for a great stay in your wonderful house.

Celebrated my 50th birthday here with 14 family members. Amazing accommodation, beautiful views, lovely hosts. We spent 4 peaceful days and simply wanted more.Highly recommend this property. We had 2 of the houses and both were fitted out with lovely furnishings and very comfy beds. Would recommend to have a dinner cooked by Helen as we did. So nice to end a busy day of sightseeing with a open fire great views and no cooking or dishes. We will be back.

We really enjoyed staying at the Grindelwald Lodge resort. The location was very tranquil with great views of 'Lake Louise' - our girls loved exploring the beautiful gardens. The accommodation was great and we were provided with all the little extras that make staying away from home a pleasure. We have stayed in Grindelwald in Switzerland - and staying at Grindelwald Lodge was even better!! Thank you.

We had a lovely relaxing stay in the self-contained cottage. It is a beautiful location and large property with beautiful gardens ad great views over the Tamar River and Valley. Helen is a fabulous host, making all the facilities available to guests. She goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome (daily homemade muffins eaten in the garden overlooking the Tamar River and Valley, lots of non-standard provisions, providing noodles and diving toys for our kids in the undercover heated pool, purchased new kids dvds, fluffy towels, Sheridan sheets, great toiletries - very high standard which creates a home away from home). We had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay at the Swiss Cottage and loved the village feel of Grindelwald. We will be back...

Helen and Lorna were exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts. This is fantastic accommodation, very warm and cosy, with magnificent views from the gorgeous property. Meals and self-catering provisions were excellent - top quality. We were sad to have to say goodbye. What a wonderful week of "spoiling" to end our Tassie Holiday. The BEST. Thank you so much Helen and Lorna (and Abbey)! Hopefully we can return one day - would recommend this to all our friends.

Helen was an amazing host, we would have liked to have been able to take both Helen and her magnificent property all around Tassie with us. Helen's was our first accommodation when we arrived and it set the bar high for the rest of our trip and nothing came close. All the meals were exceptional and so was Lorna's apple pie..... We will definitely return to Grindelwald Lodge when we next visit Tassie.

A fantastic place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Helen was a wonderful host. She really made our stay comfortable and homely. We enjoyed the warmth of the fire place on those cold tassie nights. The view over looking tamar river from the master suite is just wonderful. we din't want to leave this place and were contemplating to extend the holiday.(Couldn't do that but planning to go back soon). I would definitely recommend for someone going to Launceston.

What a fantatsic place and a real gem! We stayed there (together with our doberwoman 'Rosie'), and didn't want to leave.
Helen and Lorna were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They were attentive and eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible and their warm, hospitable natures made our stay are real pleasure and a highlight of our trip!
As far as the accomodation goes, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. Comfortable, clean, heaps of room and lovely and warm... just the ticket for the cold and wet weather we had experienced whilst we were in Tassie.
The lovely fireplace didn't just keep us nice and warm but also helped set the tone for wonderfully relaxed evenings.
We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Grindlewald Lodge... in fact, as far as accomodation goes with or without your pet, it's one of Tassies best kept secrets.
If you decide not to go there, you're making a big mistake!

A very cosy and comfortable stay for the 2 nights. The location was great, being only 15 minutes away from the city of Launceston, and minutes away from the Swiss Village, it offers amazing views across the yard. The spa and sauna gave it that extra touch of relaxation. The hospitality was top notch, with all the basic neccesaties provided. I definately recommend this place for anyone

We thank Helen and Launa on the wounderful hospitality while we stayed for 2 nights. Our dog snow extremely enjoyed himself with the resident dog. The run around pen was perfect. Helen looked after Snow like there own dog while we went around exploring the tamar valley. Launa also looked after our kids on some oudoor activities while Gardening with Launa. The accomodation was 5 star and clean. The breakfeast was awesome with plenty of fresh fruit, eggs and bread. We will definately be staying agin on our next venture in Launceston.
