  • "We spent 2 great nights at this property! It is a stunning house on an awesome piece of land and is a great location!"

  • "This country haven exceeded my expectations. The owner's keen attention to detail allowed us to enjoy beautiful natural surrounds in great comfort, and we felt at home almost immediately. The simple Japanese design elements elevated this property from sleek to "settle in and enjoy"."

  • "What a great place. It was like being at a friend's house. It was raining, dark and cold when we arrived but we were very warm in Riversdale. I was comfortable in 15mins and settled in to make a winter meal in my Le Creuset. Thanks for the recommendations in the book to go to Maldon. They happened to have a food and wine street market on Sunday so lunch at the Royal George in Kyneton was cancelled and we had a lovely time pottering around the local area. I can imagine it would be great in summer with the doors open and sitting in the day bed and I hope we can go back later this year. I have already thought of some nice people who would love Riversdale and take care of the property. I hope all your visitors take care of the tatami area and remove their shoes! I make people take off their shoes in my house and it freaks them out a bit!"

  • "We had a great time relaxing at Riversdale - very cosy with the wood fire especially as it was a cold weekend when we were there. "

  • "This is a truly unique place to stay - something special and I have no doubt the best place by far to stay in the area if you have any interest in architecture at all (and even if you don't). We had bad weather but sitting in front of that fire looking out the window was cosy as could be and one of the highlights of our time in Victoria."
    Janine, July 2010

  • "It's such a beautiful place and feels so relaxing to be in such a quiet location surrounding by trees and animals."
    Kristy, May 2010

  • "What a slice of heaven. Compact yet spacious, cosy and intimate but not claustophobic. Great architecture, lovely aspect and everything you could want. Bring everything you think you may want - you won't want to leave here for a second. Will be back in the Spring for sure!"
