Pristine Beaches

There are many beaches along the coast line for you to visit, the nearest is Scarborough Beach located just a 5 minute walk. It is patrolled by lifesavers during summer and has a rock pool including a toddler wading pool at the end of the beach. It also has a child’s playground and a football oval.

Scarborough Hotel

Is located just a 5 minute walk north along Lawrence Hargrave Drive. This popular and famous hotel offers exquisite food, including seafood, with spectacular views and is kids friendly too.

Austibeach Café

Great coffee, deserts and meals, including the best tasting gelato, conveniently located opposite Austinmer beach with a kiddies playground. Only a 5 minute drive South.

Fish & Chips at Thirroul

Best fish and chips located at Thirroul beach. You can takeaway or sit down and enjoy a seafood meal with wine whilst taking in the spectacular views of the beach.

Thirroul Beach also has a large grass area, great for picnics, an extensive playground for kiddies and an Olympic size pool including a toddler pool.

Symbio Wildlife Park at Helensburg

Sea Cliff Bridge

Spectacular to drive or walk over, located 5 mins drive north. This is Australia’s newest icon attracting numerous visitors each day, hanging impressively over the Pacific Ocean.

Bike Track & Great Cafes at Bulli

The 13km Bike Track is a walking, jogging and bicycle track running from Wollongong City to Thirroul following the coastline with magnificent views of beautiful beaches and the Pacific Ocean.

You can enjoy a walk and then stop for coffee or a snack at the great cafes at Bulli, located 15 minute drive South just after Thirroul.

Bald Hill Lookout

Watch the hang gliders take off this spectacular rock cliff, or just enjoy breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean coastline from Stanwell Park Beach all the way to Wollongong. Located 10 minute drive north just past Stanwell Park.

Gourmet Butcher at Thirroul

Thirroul is located an 8 minute drive South. The Gourmet Butcher is near Franklins and has great selection of meats, sausages and kebabs.

Why not pick up some Gourmet meats and a bottle of wine at the bottle shop nearby and enjoy a BBQ dinner on the balcony watching the sun set behind the escarpment and later on lights sparkling along the coastline.
